Very helpful video, I worked through this video over the course of a few weeks while I had freetime at work, I've been practicing and applying what I've learnt at my current job - I will be applying for a animation position in the coming weeks, as my current work contract is ending soon - This video has helped me really take my video editing to the next level and I want to say thank you for this fully fleshed out 4 hour video, that is easy enough for me to understand and follow through with, thanks

Hi all, I have made a short after effect animation, but I need a little help please, is there a way to move all the Layer markers (not compostion markers) in one go, rather than individually? I have 15 out markers, one per layer stacked above each other. I have tried selecting all layers and trying to drag the markers, but this moves all the layers rather than the markers, doesanyone knows how to do it, it would save me a lot of time in the future, thanks in advance.

Dave, whom I think did an exceptional job on this tutorial/beginners course. Has an excellent demeanor and very attentive mind for thorough explanation. Side note, he sounds almost identical to the host of my favorite pod-cast philosophize this hosted by Stephen West. I am still not convinced it is not him. Stephen West does sound a lot like a noms de plume. I am only 75% kidding. :)

Thanks so much for making this video! One problem, the source files only seem to have comps, but no audio, graphics or footage. I'm not seeing anymore info anywhere about where to get the footage and I see lots of commenters with the same issue.
Can you please provide a clear directive as to where to get the actual footage you're using to follow along with?

Just wanted to say, your program is awesome. I volunteer what time I can to a non-profit and their latest project is producing a documentary film. I'm able to perform the basics in premier pro but have never ventured into AE. This is incredibly helpful. I wish I found a course like this when I dove into premiere pro. Thank You

2: 30: 43 im using the latest version of adobe after effects and im able to use the hand tool without pressing the SPACEBAR as the unified camera tool is not avaliable in this version but instead the ALT key shows the unified camera too land then with the left, middle, right shows all the other camera tool options

IDK why but the source files you provided isn't opening up in my AE. The opening is opening with an dispaly saying its an older version and after clicking ok, the project is opened. I can't find the footage you provided. Please give me a fix for this issue. I'm very much interested to learn AF. Thank you!

After watching 20 minutes I just paused as I had the need to make a positive comment here. You are a great teacher. Everything is very understandable, not boring at all. I did a lot of courses and you are definitely one of the best teachers. And this is all for free! For that, I want to thank you.

Hi Mr. Dave, I got to the tracking motion after 2 days for I practice while listening. Thank you for your efforts and light my road to animation. I have one tiny question during the tracking motion, could you let me know how to let the footage measure out? I cannot figure it out while operating.
reply

I just loooove how he spent 40+ minutes and didnt touch anything in program, i hated my profesor who try to explain AE to us by clicking all around it with no order and in the end i learned nothing except that he doesnt know how to use it but get payed to teach it.

Dave Bode, this was wonderful. Thank you providing this free FOUR and half hours worth of tutorial. Your brevity and conversational tone throughout was as reassuring (that After Effects can in fact be learned) as it was very informative. Major props, sir.

first everything was boring and hard to grasp, but I kept myself stik to it and practicing things sideways, later when motion tracker comes along and boooom I am impressed, there you got my like and subscription. thanks mate. i am really learning.

If you are an experienced designer/animator and need to understand the mechanics of After Effects, this tutorial is for you. If you don't know any technical design terms like composition this video will not teach that to you.

This is great. awesome. wonderful. I have watched so many videos made for beginners but none of them was as good as this one.
I was literally struggling but then this video had boosted my confidence. Thanks a ton bro.

If you can provide link from where I can download to understand your tutorial video.

You already lost me at 1: 13. You say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about getting the project file you cite as the example to follw. Start at the BEGINNING, Man, not down the road somewhere. Useless

Thank you for the course, i'm trying to find the very first beginner template you mention and cant seem to find it. I downloaded the source files but it's not there. Can someone pls help?

The minimum amount of RAM that After Effects needs to run is 8GB. However, Adobe recommends using 16GB of RAM. Anyone can share personal opinion or experience?

Since you teach me so much, I'm going to teach you something.
In portuguese, your second name bode means goat.
I know, life changing. You're welcome.
