Spyware-Free Phones in 2021: We're being Squeezed! - Rob Braxman Tech Many changes have occurred in 2021 and it's time to reassess our privacy phone choices again. Things that worked for us in 2020 no longer work. And we have to evaluate all our options. What's the status of Flip phones, feature phones, Linux phones in 2021? Did new Androids and IOS phones become more privacy friendly? Or Not? Will De-Googled phones continue to work in 2021?

QUESTION need help with:
I do NOT want a 5G period. I need a larger size phone due to eyes and arthritis in hands. I need to have a lot of internal and external SD memory, good camera, video, Wi-Fi capabilities and still be able to have privacy. I'm on my phone a lot and it's my only internet connection right now and for probably the next year at least.
Anyone have a good subjection? I currently use LG & Motorola, I like these better because both allow you to fully delete all apps you don't use or want that comes pre- installed. The last couple of very expensive Samsung's I bought ended up junk, burnt my face badly and one fried itself when Samsung did a forced update with a app I didn't have on my phone, didn't come in the phone but I lost over 3, 200 pictures including the backups on the SD card. It fried everything so I really don't want another Samsung but I'm open to listening to your opinions on all suggestions. Thanks.
Privacy is important to me, no I'm not a criminal BUT it's still important wether you have anything to hide or not. I still value our rights, privacy and the Constitution.

People are asleep because all the data mining and algorithms they use work ideally. Lucky for us. The algorithm is also working against them. Because once I started questioning my privacy. I began getting recommendations to listen to Rob.
But I'm overwhelmed. And this is making me harder to relate to people anymore. I can't go back now. But when over 300 mill people are hooked to this crap. Their algorithms would manipulate them to think WE are the crazy ones. Not the ones who are addicted so addicted. I'm sure that 99% of the people will give up a limb to keep their current phone. I've see people totally freak out when the couldn't find their phone. Like if they lost their child. Oh now your afraid to think who may find it and what they may see in it?

I think I have an idea for how to block 5G tracking.
There is a clothing company called GetLambs (there are also other companies as well) that sell anti-EMF clothes.
It's basically like a wearable faraday cage which blocks EMF signals.
I've seen bags and things made of this material, and if you keep your phone in it, it will block all signals, which means no service, but it also means no tracking. So that might be an idea you might wanna consider.
Also, with Starlink, it could be possible to make cellular obsolete. We might not even need a SIM card / phone company when we have satellite internet. So that might be a way to get around AOSP

Am I naive for believing that my Android phones flight mode actually disables most if not all RF-signals? I mean I mainly use it for saving battery since permanent 4G-Standby is pretty taxing but the potential of included privacy would be nice. The saving is measurable by screen on- & standby time after all so I'm lead to believe that, unless my phone is already infected with malware (causing a mock flight mode status) and / or still able to receive signals in flight mode, it should be a decent option for casual users concerned about this topic. right?

There is no way to stop it. People will not live without a phone, it doesn't matter if that cost them to lose their privacy. Privacy is not important to many people anymore, they just don't care like we do. Like with the pandemic situation, the government used companies to force people to get vaccinated against their will, the same way big tech companies will force people to buy their phones. They want people without the ability to think, speak, question or protest nor understand what they are dealing with. They are engineering a society of zombies.

I have been using Ubuntu Touch on my Pixel 3a XL now for several months as a daily driver, and it is great. If you can manage to get Waydroid working on it, then you basically have the same android app compatibility as a de-googled phone. i have been considering buying a second pixel 3a so that I can try out Graphene OS, will most likely wait for prices to drop some more. Anyways, keep up the good work on these vids!

That's a real shame. Before watching this video I was ready to buy a PinePhone. I'm sick of google's evil policies and plan to delete my Google account within this month. I really just need voice and text, sans spyware. Is there anything out there that can be daily driven without reporting your every heartbeat to big brother?

We do have plenty to hide from the government because they could target us for any reason--vaccine status, religion (Holocaust, any type of incompliance, free speech, guilty by association, or they could even make up lies or set us up. The government should not have this type of power; it's extremely dangerous.

Reason I decided to keep my BlackBerry Passport and not go with Android or IOS. And yes, it still works after Jan 4th, 2022, if the user disabled BlackBerry Protect feature (or not configure it to begin with) before the servers were shut down.
