Your videos on gaming are REALLY helpful, could't find much that cleares it all up as you do - so many aspects when you're new to this, so thanks a bunch! Unfortunately, my ten year old hardware has no support for dxvk (checked it on the list- it's an RV670 / Radeon HD3870), what does that mean for my gaming? Will all games suck or just the ones depending on directx? Are there any alternatives or tricks I can use? And you said dxvk does not come with dx9 support, what's the way to go for dx9 games then (for example, I tried to run fallout NV on steam proton, and it launches but doesn't play very well in terms of performance... poor frame rates. Is that because of my system lacking dxvk (vulkan)? And can I do something about it or do I have to just accept it? It's just so sad cause with windows the game did run just perfectly with the same old hardware.

Frankly I missed the part where you actually installed DXVK. The page link in your description just described how to and what is needed FOR DXVK (dependencies, like proper GPU, proper drivers, vulkan itself), but not how to install the DXVK itself. So how do you install it?
- 5:00 you say -so now that you know what esync is...- => no... I really don't. You didn't say anything about it. What is it? What does it do?
Also what really puzzles me is do I have to use Steam or Lutris or both? And are those DXVK and esync helping me in any way if I go with just steam? What exactly comes automatically when I just have steam preinstalled in manjaro (I assume it comes with Proton installed; but does it include its own version of DXVK then?) and what will comes automatically with Lutris and what I need to add to manually myself?

First off thank you for all the helpful videos. with that said im hoping either yourself or someone monitoring this can help me with Joystick Controller issues. as i have 3 controllers a Stick, Throttle, and Rudder all from CH Products. Manjaro and Wine Controller see the inputs fine, when i play games such as Star Citizen using Lutris w/wine. Only 2 joysticks are Recognized. I have tried Multiple Runner Option settings in Lutris when it comes to the Inputs such as switching the fallowing options on and off. Autoconfigure Joypads, Xinput architecture, x360ce xinput 9.1.0 and dinput 8 mode. alas nothing i have tried as gotten a 3rd input to be seen by the game. if anyone knows of something that might help with this issue please feel free to respond. thanks.

Right now I'm running Manjaro Mate on my Ryzen 7 2700X and a Vega 64 video card. I have 2 games installed, Warframe and Final Fantasy XIV. DXVK and esync are installed, Warframe runs perfectly, I can use a XBox One controller with the game, I just had to turn off sleep function because the OS didn't recognize the game is running and would attempt to blank the screen forcing me to move the mouse to stop the screen from going blank. Final Fantasy XIV is not playing nice with my setup. I can load the game launcher and log in to start the game running in a window. If I try to make it go full screen, it loads multiple windows and the whole desktop locks up forcing me to do a reboot. So far I haven't found a fix for it so that game is a no go for me.

For launching most of my Steam games through Lutris...the DXVK and ESync Options don't appear in Lutris configuration if Steam is the runner. Below in the comments i read, that Proton has DXVK and ESync built in. So only Games, that use Wine as runner benefit from those changes.... Did i get this right? Ended up here because of serious performance issues despite a descent gaming laptop (RTX2060)...sometimes i just reboot the Manjaro KDE system, close all applications and the game runs better. Linux gaming is still puzzeling me in many ways. Many indy-games run poorly. The only game that always runs fullspeed is Doom 2016.

Please do a Lutris Q&A video one day ... I love Lutris ... but somehow, it simply does not want to run Windows games on my Mint 19.1 Cinnamon ...
There is a lack of Lutris tutorials on the web ... and what we find it is simply to simple ...
A step-by-step game install, like this video, would also be nice ... for example ... I installed PoE and it simply does not work ... there are many error messages ...
THX for the video!

Not a fan of this video. The information is there, but it's not concise.
It's full of bloat with corporate jargon such as the phrase -go ahead- used ad nauseam and time wasting axiomatic ballpark views that need not be addressed IRL. Just get to the point, we're not middle management paid by the hour to watch this. We want to actually get stuff done.
