Forget all the nerds im a noob i built my first pc 2 years ago i have an intel i7 7700k and i knew amd is cheaper waaay cheaper but my mate whos a big nerd told me amd burns out faster it gets hotter youll have to replace it faster than my intel. My lil cousin is trying to get a budget pc like as cheap as it can get but intel computers the decent ones for a gtx 1050ti build you're looking at over 800 gbp - a card that cant run 60 fps ultra on newer releases. Hes a kid he'll most likely only play newer released games. Wondering if i should tell him to get an amd cpu instead with a gtx 1660 for around 800 gbp it can probably do around 30 to 40 fps on ultra on a demanding game like assassins creed valhalla

Just built my own PC last month. I know its a little late to the fray but I upgraded from an Intel i5 8400 with 2666 mhz ram, to an x570, 3700x, 32gb cl 16 3600 mhz ram, 2 tb nvme pcie gen 4 ssd, 2 tb nvme gen 3 ssd, and a gtx 1080 ti. By far the best machine I have ever had and by far the best machine I could afford at this point in time. Looking forward to the day that I can get a gpu that can push the limits of the system that I have!

Thanks Guys. I am not too familiar with the terminology. What would you recommend for a computer that you are using for online meetings with a bit of screen sharing while running a few other programs in the background. Would the AMD processor give you a seamless performance?
