Gordon, I hope you know that something like 75% or more of the corn produced in this country is used for livestock feed in one form or another. When the companies produce ethanol for fuel they are extracting the sugars from the corn, ethanol is alcohol by a different name, and the leftovers from ethanol production called DDG ( dry distilled grain ) and WDG ( wet distilled grain ) go back into livestock feed. This is also extracting the maximum value from a product or resource, using it to it's full extent.
Ethanol does ruin the fuel systems of older cars due to the gaskets those fuel systems contain, and it will ruin fuel systems of newer cars if they are not rated for it in it's purest form ( E85. The alcohol eats the gaskets and they loose their seals. It's a gasket problem, not a fuel problem, certain rubber and synthetic compounds cannot stand up to ethanol ( alcohol.
The govt buys up excess grain to keep the price stable to make farming profitable, this is the lion share of the money you are talking about. The grain that is purchased by the govt to keep the price stable is used in the food aid program and is given around the world to people that are starving, this is what that money is going for.
All types of grain can be used to make ethanol, not just corn. As long as the grain has natural sugars in it, it can be used to make ethanol.

The Holiday PC is a radical rebuild of my previous Daily Driver: Fractal Define R4-White Case; the aforementioned B450 Aorus Board with my 1700X cpu (Which I bought -Micro Center in March 2019 for $149. 99 comboed with the X470 Taichi, $159. 99); the Wraith Prism Air Cooler (from the 2700X Box, the Geil RAM Kit, the Intel M. 2 NVMe SSD & 2 scrubbed Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm HDD's, a venerable PowerColor PCS+ R9 380 4GB (Circa 2015) Video Card (1080p for a grade schooler, folks, all powered by a Seasonic G650 Gold power supply (3 140mm Fractal Fans & 3 120mm Corsair SP Fans supply cooling. Once you've experienced an OLED TV though, TN is 100% not an option. ever. I really look forward to replacing both my VA and IPS monitors with Mini LED FALD monitors to get something much closer. Also for the fan guy. corsairs mag lev rgb fans are probably the best bet, in my experience youll mostly notice fans are -loud- only because of the type of noise it makes. bearing type matters. Noctua fans come in black, definitely consider those as a first pick. If RGB matters. corsairs Mag Levs are very nice.

Gordon, i am on board with you about the controllers. I got COD MW for the Xbox One X and i thought that maybe i was just getting old because i couldn't make it through the levels, i then got it for my PC with a mechanical keyboard and a logitech darkside mouse and all of a sudden i was leveling like i used to years ago, so yeah, controllers suck.
Brad is wrong, if you can't beat someone with a controller then it is not your skills, it is the clumsy thumbstick, Keyboard & Mouse any day of the week

Gordon you have know idea what you've missed not watching at Least though season 3 of B5! The build up through Season 2 and then getting to the Midway point of Season 3 with the Ep. Severed Dreams! (Still gives me goosebumps) Even J. Michael Straczynski, The series Creator says season one wasn't the best, but was needed to move the Overall story forward! Once you do make it through all 5 seasons, you'll be rewarded with one the Finest SERIES Finales ever made!

No case is the best case, i haven't used a case on any of my computers in over a decade and have never had a hardware failure in that time. I do mount everything though and basically turn them into a sculpture over time but they're all open air like a test bench. case imo is very take it or leave it depending on how dangerous it's environment.

Controllers are for platformers and third person action games like Dark Souls. Any game that requires aiming, or precision control, is better with mouse and KB. I play with both on my PC attached to my TV, while sitting on my couch. I have a nice collection of Xbox 360 controllers which work really well with PC and are really sturdy.

I had a good Cyber Monday. I saved $30 on a XFX RX 5700 XT Thicc III Ultra, and got a Ryzen 7 3800X for $325. On another subject, you can change the background of a non activated Windows 10. You just right click on a wallpaper on your PC and choose set as desktop background.

37 minutes in, Brad, there's more to it than the watermark and the inability to change the background. You also cannot add your desktop icons as well as the inability to get certain updates.
