I returned my 4000 for the 5000, the size difference is a game changer for me, yeah it-s a little bigger but not by that much considering the vast amount of versatility added with the size. I was limited to a 240mm AIO on the 4000, yes it technically supports a 280 with low profile ram but I do not have low profile ram. So now I can stick my new 360mm AIO in the front, side, or top which is great. The second USB port on the front IO is great as well and I like the motherboard -tray- that sits behind the motherboard, this adds extra room for something like my lightning node core pro which I previously had to take out a hard drive bay to accommodate for it in the 4000. In my opinion this is the perfect amount of size to versatility. It-s not a full tower case that dwarfs everything in sight but it-s also not too small that it limits what you can use. Good job Corsair

This was really helpful to see the differences between the 2 series (5000 and 4000. Im actually trying to decide between the 2 and its hard when I dont own either. Also your in-depth showing of the harddrive cage and psu along with the graphics card example (many of these things other reviewers did not cover (Actually other reviewers 'glossed' over the HD cage and took it out. I also agree with you - atm Im in a conundrum, 4000 seems a bit small and the 5000 a bit big.

Probably one of the best tear downs from this case that I've seen. I had the obsidian 500d and i got sick of it and got me this black 500d airflow. What do you recommend for the fans that go on the mobo shroud to be? exhaust or intake? I have the 400d airflow on my 2nd rig and i loved that case and i got so excited when this 500 came out. Thanks for your video which gives alot of details on this case. I am still considering which one I should buy comparing with Phanteks 500P, the only one thing I don't like this case is the front fans and the rear fans which is only 120mm, worrying about the airflow is not enough good for RTX 3090 gaming in 4K

Oh my gosh you-re amazing! Saved my pc build. I needed to find out how to remove the cable mounting plate to gain access to the mother board fan bracket because I-m putting a distribution block there for a custom water loop thank you so much

Thank you so much for showcasing how a PSU would fit with the drive cage. I haven't been able to find a definitive video of ANYONE covering this.

I am kinda upset I just purchased the 4000D AIRFLOW, but I am willing to make the switch now. Thanks for the overview, Alaina.

Could i buy the Glas front and top panel from the 5000x and put it on the 5000D? Or will Corsair not sell the panels separately?
