im coming from a laptop with one ssd nvme m. 2 slot to one with two, it being a brand new machine its coming with one drive already installed, how do I keep my games and programs ect and move it onto the new laptop? would i open it up put in my current m. 2 nvme drive and change which one is boot in the bios? thank you for your help

Hello! my laptop a msi leopard gl75 has indead an empty space that reads PCIE-4 SSD, but it lacks the black thingy connector that holds the ssd, what is the tecnical name of it? and where can I find it? does it requires soldering? (its about the thing that in your case reads NVME/SATA socket- connector- thanks in advance!

I have a Galaxy Book Pro 15- i7. I have a extra M. 2 slot. I put a Samsung 1TB 970 Evo Plus NVMe ssd in the extra slot. How can I make the new ssd the boot drive? I tried cloning it but it wont work. Will it help overall performance or will it only help the apps and whatever would be saved to the ssd? Thanks

Hi if I add HDD for storage will it affect the performance and the response time of my laptop? I already have a fast m. 2 ssd but I want to add HDD for storage drive but I'm still new on pc stuff so I don't know if it does have an effect. Thank you and I will appreciate your answer.

So what you're saying, is that I can go to the website of the laptop manufacturer, look up the specs of my laptop model, in order to determine if my laptop can accept a second storage drive, and what form factor/interface it will accept?

good note m2 doesnt make programs faster. per se.
thats what RAM is for.
m2: is STORAGE u can store stuff faster. and games to load faster by nearly 40-50% some games even instant.
