its all well and good we get older cards but without any revisions, its not very compelling. I also spent money on a new amd board and old amd cpu to get a bios working. that failed and then i had to buy a bios flashing tool to do it externally. The am4 board still cant be updated via Qflash as only the back up bios was able to be restored. a shit show to say the least. it prevented buying a better gpu, strange FPS issues are more and more dependent on drive speeds for streaming textures and can be monitored in afterburner under Hdd usage. applies to ssd as well

AMD fanboys are becoming more annoying than apple and my current system is a Ryzen 9 3900x. I see people stating they are probably not installing them correctly etc. while totally ignoring the 1 Intel failure. The clowns making these statements would probably struggle to turn on their PC's.
And the other classic is that is Intel spreading false rumors. You really have serious mental problems when you're creating conspiracy theories to defend your favorite corporation.

To Gordon and Brad, going by the lowest denominator on the PC builders side is the worst idea ever. If you want -beginner friendly -- always working- PC build, you should buy pre-build, Mac or a console. If flashing BIOS (or enabling XMP) is above some people capabilities, then they probably should not build PCs. On the other hand, if you can flash BIOS, then the long term compatibility can save you a lot of money and headache down the way.

OMG thats one of my pet peeves about people having conversations while driving. A lot of people cant help but look at the person they are talking to, and they do it while driving too. They showed that in a movie where the guy had to yell at his kids so he literally turned around and took the steerinv wheel with him: all of them right off the road. Should learn to not look at your speaking partners while driving

Just got a 10600k for $190. My 1st intel build since 1997. Problem is the cheapest -good- z490 board is -$160 vs a good b450 board being $90ish.
Also MicroCenter got another delivery of 5000 series, before they sold out of last week's shipment.
And as Brad alluded to, NVIDIA/AMD have no reason to release more budget stuff since the high end units are selling out left and right.

On products based on the latest 7nm process you will have more issues than on products from a 5 year old 14nm process.
What about handling issues, static electricity or power issues. I remember magn-tapes, that some times spontaneously rewinded at a certain customer site. After a while we found out, that it happened, when the neighbor started his huge industrial centrifuge.

Why hasn't Intel actually Fabricated products for other companies? They have the capacity I think GPU'S on their 14NM plus Infinity could be great and an absolute savior for gamers everywhere. Why are they set on outsourcing their own GPU'S? it makes no sense! They could make Die as large as they want.

I never jumped on the AMD bandwagon, funny to see Intel still best choice for high end gaming, I don't care about budget Amd stuff or content production that much, gaming is what I want and str8 to the point, xx700 and xx800-990k Intel CPUs still perform the best on most demanding games.

It doesn't make any sense to buy a 10th gen CPU with plans to buy an 11th gen within 12 months. That's a huge waste of money and I don't know if the performance will be worth it especially with 12th gen coming within a year or so after that with a new socket and, hopefully, a node shrink.
