Fairy tales about security. I've heard from reliable sources, Microsoft mandated TPM 2. 0 on demand of the NSA, NSA wants to use their TPM encryption backdoor to spy on you and the right wing militias. That is their true argument for these shenanigans, all other is BS. The -seemingly random- separation between supported or unsupported CPUs is based on the systems, that support the TPM 2. 0 encryption backdoor for the NSA. Supporting TPM 2. 0 only, like some older CPUs do, is insufficient to reach that Windows 11 list: ( If you don't trust the US government with your data, use NSA-safe CPUs only, so only use CPUs, that are NOT on the Windows 11 supported CPU list and switch lo Linux: ): )
Fortunately my unsupported CPUs are:
- May 2019 AMD Ryzen 2200G (16GB)
- 2009 AMD Phenom II X4 B97 (4 x 3. 2GHz; 8GB);
- Dec 2011 Intel i5-2520M (2C4T Sandy Bridge; 8GB)
- 2003 Pentium 4 HT (1C2T; 3. 0GHz; 2GB) running FreeBSD 13. 0 on OpenZFS 2. 0 for 1h/week with 1. 21TB of HDDs (IDE; SATA; 3. 5-; 2. 5-)
F--k you Microsoft! Hurray for Linux and BSD!
FREEDOM!

PCWorld, I am a licensed Professional Engineer (specifically in Computer Engineering, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP. I originally wanted to create more of my YouTube content focused on computer security, however, just like you gentlemen mentioned (at time marker 1: 32: 05, people do not want to hear about security on their PCs. For example, how many people use ONLY an Administrators account for everything they do? It's VERY unfortunate: (

What I like about PC over mobile is that I get to organize everything how I like but in phones, I have to adapt to how the app wants me to store and find things. Windows 11 should keep that and also stop making unnecessary changes like calling delete trash. MS should've kept tiles and refined it instead of getting rid of it so soon. Combining control panel into settings sees a neat idea. I hope they do that and make things easy to find. I don't like relying on search.

Features I still want in Windows:
1. Tabs on File Explorer
2. A native Fences-like feature (seriously guys, please start suggesting this)
3. The ability to to crop/zoom/align your desktop background(s) one the fly when setting them
4. Arrange apps/folders in a grid in the Start menu (under All Apps)
5. Real commitment from Microsoft to put almost all non-MMC settings into Settings

This is absolutely insane, the amount of unnecessary e-waste this will produce just for '''security''' makes me sick. If microsoft wanted people to have security, they would have given everyone Bitlocker a decade ago and not gated it behind a fee - this is the reason no consumers cared about TPM in the first place ffs! The sheer lack of basic thought about this topic is infuriating.

TPM isn't to protect you from them, but to protect them from you. To control where you can go on the internet, what you can do (banking, blogging, chatting, viewing) on the computer. Consider all the checkboxes of what you can do and how many are checked depending on who you are, what you have paid for, what you say, where you've been, how much energy you use.

My most used Quick Settings features is turning Bluetooth off and on again. Because Windows in 2021 still does not reliably connect to my ear buds. Sometimes it straight doesn't, sometimes the volume is stuck at some level no matter what you set in Windows, sometimes volume control via the ear buds does not work. Bluetooth on Windows just makes me wanna cry.

I have a Ryzen 3900X, X570 32GB 3600MHz, AIO Gaming rig and it failed the Windows 11 compatibility check. -- But I can turn on the fTPM within the bios. But! I'm waiting till I have the chance to get the official released OS. I'm not going to run the beta or leaked OS, so I'm not bothered by the security requirements.

I am confused. Does Radeon Boost apply FSR? Actually, I am not confused. But AMD will confuse their customers. Why promote Radeon Boost now when FSR is all the buzz, atm. And when it is rumored that FSR will get a dynamic mode with an FPS target. Sometimes this company is not good at clear communication.

Microsoft, next to Amazon and others, is one of the biggest MINER of my personal information on my pc. I buy ad blockers, VPN's and use encryption to keep them out of my PII. Now they want to force me to log into their accounts so they can grab all my personal information? Nah
