This update is lipstick on a pig. Windows 11 is Windows 10 with a facelift and a bigger feature update than usual. That said, a visual overhaul is sorely welcome, but there's so much they still haven't addressed 6 years after Windows 10 launched. There's still no unified Settings menu: Control Panel and all of the other mini menus scattered across the OS are all still sticking around, there's _still_ two separate menus to uninstall apps, and you have to know which to use depending on the app, there's design elements from Windows 8 still in there. It's just frustrating they refuse to address these kinds of basics, before trying to add features.

Windows 10 Start Menu I never really use at all as I will be installing Windows 11 as Windows 10 only takes 10 minutes to install so if I don't like Windows 11 I can always fall back on Windows 10 it's so simple for me to do. I been around Windows since you had to boot up in DOS so every operating system that came out I was there and sure I had head aches but from Windows 7 I was getting less head aches and all the problems I heard from Windows 7 users that didn't not want to go to Windows 10 I didn't get all their problems. My suggestion if you have more then 1 PC install on Windows 11 on another PC if you need the other PC for work

i downloaded windows 11 on Monday Night. I like. My computer is a Dell Inspiron. I got it for my birthday this year. My old computer which was a sony vaio which came out in 2012 was stuck on the first edition of Windows 10. I like Windows 11 so far. I'm still getting used to it. It's faster than windows 10. Windows 10 had no features besides the ones it launched with. Windows 11 will get better over time. I'm watching this on Windows 11.

31: 50 The freedom of an operating system that is useable by the laymen but also polished and with in depth functionality is what Windows to dates foundation has been built on, why turn Mac? Please keep PC and Windows PC within the confines of the unconfined YES change the UI but allow for similar conformity through the lack of conformation. (You can still win over the app / driven kids and we can eat or cake too) PLEASE!

The -double standards- argument against criticising Microsoft for making it harder to choose a different browser just doesn't strike me as compelling. I'm not okay with any trillion-dollar company. Google sucks. Apple sucks. Them sucking doesn't make Microsoft's behavior suck any less. Instead of defending Microsoft here, why don't we point out that the other two also suck?

Well all I got out of your video is to go install Windows 11. LOL SO I did and it's easy as hell as everything is back to the way I like it when running Windows 10: ) Some of the stuff you were saying about adding to taskbar and start menu is false as I can add to my start menu and I prefer the look of this one then the old one which I never used

This is like the Windows XP, 7, 8 (disastrous) and 10 rollouts that were met with resistance, Microsoft has an answer for you: say goodbye to your previous OS.
For most non-gamers and those not heavily invested in video editing, Excel or Access, Linux is a great option.
I run Manjaro in about 90% of my non-work life (except for today.

Windows 11 seems incomplete, features like Alder Lake scheduler, Direct IO, Android apps and HDR could be added into W10.
They're floating a new look and UI, which always misses features, that they don't have the headline features ready suggests this was a rushed opportunistic decision.

Just FYI - Its said that people can not skip windows 11. Its going to be mandated for any computer that is detected that is compatible for windows 11.
Several tech blogs have pointed this out. Windows 11 once its fully deployed and ready for the masses. It will be a forced update.
