I understand that Heatpipe and Vapor chamber are physically the same thing. The chamber is just a special shape of the heatpipe. Given the same area or size, they can transfer the same amount of heat. The vapor chamber has an edge when we want to cool some areas that are hard to cool with heatpipe (say, VRAM and VRM)
However, the fact is Alienware x17 can handle GPU temp really well but its CPU temp is really hot. It is hotter than Lenovo Legion 7i which uses a large Vapor chamber that covers the all entire area. With that said, Lenovo Legion 7i only uses 2 good fans in a smaller form factor and is lighter as well (Legion 7i is a little bit thicker but it's essentially a 16- laptop.
So, if Alienware goes this far to use 4 fans, don't be cheap on copper. I don't want to hear the compromise when your laptop is pretty much the most expensive one in the market.
Also, these 4 fans produce whistling noise (which is less bearable for some people)

Its a great sistem overall and the design is very nice. Only problem that i have with it is that the 3060 variant is Max-Q insted of 130w, witch basicly means the cost dosent cut the performance, you can find far better products with a full rtx 3060 even 3070 in this price range. If the 3060 was full power than it whould have been worthwhile even if so expencive. but lets say you pay for the quality to over the performance. But when the performance is cut it's not worth the 2200$ price tag. Stadard comes with a 256 Gb SSd? those even exist anymore?

If the 3060 was full power than it whould have been worthwhile even if so expencive. but lets say you pay for the quality to over the performance. Nice to hear improvement but a little too late. Don't think I'm gonna spend another 4 thousand dollars. I had the r4 17 laptop and the gpu and cpu temp would be in the high 80s when gaming so I always have to use a laptop stand which is so annoying and no the laptop is not dusty I have one of those pc dust blower. Battery stop holding charge, I hardly use the laptop too as I have a gaming pc so what sup with the battery Dell?

Hii guys just wanted know if we increase the VRM in motherboard of the laptop can we push more power to the system if we have adequate cooling.

so basically Alienware refuse to give AMD the 17 inch form factor and give it the super premium no compromise laptop experience. intel I bet paid dell to stop them getting 17 inch treatment if dell want prove me wrong launch a 17 inch AMD laptop.

You guys need more Gordon and videos like this and less of videos comparing framerates of games on different cards. On a side note, soundcards are overrated. Motherboard audio IS ELITE! Now it's time to sleep and dream of heat-pipes. -
