Hi there. this is very clear. thank u for posting. , can I ask I am following step by step but every time I try to make the layer mask re appear with the brush. it does not work. just disappears with the black brush. can u help please. best regards

Why non-destructive? You still can use ctrl z to go back, or history. Why not? They say pixels are different with a Mask, but no one show us the differences in the results.
