Thanks Unmesh, great tutorial! The saturation check layers are a huge help, and is something I neglected to check previously. One thing I have found that will speed up the workflow tremendously is the use of luminosity masks. They completely remove the need for tedious brushing by targeting exactly what you desire to change down to the pixel level. Most people use them for landscape photography, but they can easily be adapted into portrait photography using groups with masks.

Firstly, your videos are great and so helpful. Thanks!
Can't help though and point out that a larger softer brush would have been better at reducing the shadows, much less blotchy and noticeable. 1% flow was great though.
Also, couldn't you use apply image or lum mask to more easily select the shadows and save tons of time?
Keep it up!

Bro, your tutorials helped a lot. I have one question, can you make a tutorial of how to create a fake hair highlight? What I mean is not enhancing the existing highlights, I know there are videos you have created about enhancing highlights, what I mean to create a fake hair highlight which was not there initially. Thank you for your consideration.

I just use airbrush with gradually increasing opacity and color selection from nearby areas. Comes out a thousand times better. It does change the texture, but that an be a good thing. Or I don't remove shadows at all, because the contrast is better. Or I light better when I take photos. This is where photography skills count.

I have used some of your skin smoothing action presets. Now what happened is that the skin has become bit powdery look loosing skin tones. Even trying to remove haze didn't help. What to do for this kind of situation? The photo was shot in jpeg with underexposed skin indoors.

I couldn't find any actions for creating the different types of check layers. Does anyone have a link to a solid action for doing this? It would save a ton of time if I could turn this process into an action. Thanks

Love your tutorials! I noticed that you don't use a drawing tablet when you work in Photoshop. I'm curious to know if you're just never tried one or if you tried it and stop using in for a specific reason.

You enjoy and can have fun with something when you know and understand what you are doing and know what to do and how to use all the tools of photoshop. Dummies like me can only sit in awe and bewilderment.
