After editing Smartobject JPG file when i try to save that it always saves to my TEMP file in PC. It was going right. it used to save my smart object file to its original file location from where i have opened it before, but from few days I'm getting trouble in saving those. It automatically saves in TEMP file in PC
Any solution for this?
As I'm a wedding album designer i have to place many of the photos in frames as a smart object and after that i have to open that photos individually and edit them and save them to its original folder from where i have opened them. But from few days i cant save my smart object JPG file in my defult folder it always open TEMP folder to save them. If i save them to its original folder from where i have opened them for editing, it doesnot reflects on my album PSD

Quote: Even if you apply regular adjustments like Curves, Hue & Saturation, etc (to a Smart Object) it applies the adjustment to the Smart object. Not in PSCS6 it doesn't. In PS6 when you go to Image > Adjustments all adjustments are greyed out and unusable. Although you can go to Layer > New Adjustment Layers and make adjustments ON the Smart object layer these adjustments do not become part of the Smart object. Rather these adjustments become just another Layer in the stack. (Believe it or not, not everyone can afford to (or wants to) move to PS CC.

I used the perspective-placement method (billboard soap ad) you show starting at 18: 30 and IT WORKS SO BEAUTIFULLY! Now that I have my top layer image perspectiv-ized, I'm trying to figure out how to get the modulation of light in my underlying layer to more realistically affect unmasked areas of the top layer. THANK YOU!

At least in CS2 I can't take all individual corner points on a smart object and put them where I want because you can't use all functions in Free Transform. It's people who have damn money who have all the fun. That's why I wish I didn't like graphics; it's just too expensive.

Amazing video. Thanks for all the information.
I have a question. Since we all know that smart object is the way to go, why aren't all images in Photoshop smart object by default? Why would we choose to not use non destructive editing?

reply

Hi! Thanx for your work! It helps a lot. I have a question.
Sometimes when I use smart in smart I get some pixelization on the edge of smart layer
Can I avoid sharpen or any types of brake pixels when using smart in smart?

What do you do to work on the smart object. it doesn't work out for me. I open a layer but it isn't working. For instance if I like to use the paint or draw something or delete?
reply
