we are going to see how this automatic selection tool compares with the unbeatable Pen Tool. With the help of three simple compositing examples, we will first compare the Select Subject with the previous versions of Photoshop. Then, we will compare it with the Pen Tool, amongst other alternatives. In these examples, we will also learn masking techniques for better quality edges. In the end, I'm also going to share with you a simple and straightforward masking workflow combining the power of Select Subject and Select and Mask

I have a portrait of a person with blonde hair against black background. The background was not properly lit during photosession, so it is light black, with velvet garment traces, so it is pretty uneven. In addition blonde hair are not geled neatly like in your first example, they rather stick out and make really hard case for this new 2020 AI driven Select Subject separation. AI cannot tell where the black is from the hair roots, and where it is from the light black backgorund so result is a grey aura around those blonde hair and I cannot wrap my head around how to pull this through. Could you possibly make a video about hair separation in such difficult conditions? This AI driven subject selection is very new in 2020 with not many videos about it on YT.

Hello Unmesh, this is Axel. I am German and live in France. I am enthusiastic about your videos and your professionalism, how you share your knowledge and, above all, how you understand it. You are doing an affordable job. Just a little thing. Remember that people like me can't speak English like an American and that we also use a Photoshop version in our language. That's not how things are called. Please speak a little more slowly, so that we foreigners can get along better and find the tools better. This shouldn't be a criticism, but a suggestion. I am definitely excited about your work and I have already learned so much from you. In that sense Keep Creating

Hi. Carlos from Spain. Many thanks for your extraordinary training videos. I would appreciate your help with regard to the red color when changing the brush size and hardness. I am a Mac user running pht 2021 and a Wacom tablet and I can change both size/hardness of my brush however I dont see the red color which I consider very helpful the see it, its empty or void, no color. Haw can I get that red? Even by using the shots cut theres no color. Many thanks

I'm surprised he only showed this on subjects that were over a flat color background. It would have been interesting to see how this works when subjects are over a more complex background. But perhaps that's the reason he didn't show it - maybe it's not very effective in that situation.

The world needs Unmesh Dinda for every field of study. Digital Marketing Overall, Web Design, Programming, After Effects, Illutsrator, Photography, Engineering. If there would exist a guy like Unmesh for each of these, the world would be much better

Looked to be to be very informative but unfortunately, after a short time, I just had to stop looking /listening to it - I was becoming thoroughly exhausted with the speed he is talking at.

Why do you always use images with plain backgrounds, while we encounter busy images when we apply your tutorials? pls, consider!

Easy with a monochrome background. Why don't you test with difficult backgrounds? It will be more usefull.

I'd like to see how this is done with a person with blond hair where the hair is lighter than the background.
