video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
we will use the new Speech-to-Text Feature in Premiere's 15. 4 release to auto-transcribe videos directly in the program without having to use a plugin or a third-party service, absolutely for free. We will also learn how you can add automatic subtitles if this feature doesn't work for you or you don't wish to upgrade

11: 36 You are right _my friend_, but not everyone has a lot of money and it is very annoing not having access to such excellent programs because you weren't born in an rich family, because let's be real the adobe suite is AWSOME but maybe a bit (too much) overpriced. If it was a bit (a lot) cheaper, a lot more people would can rent it and not do what they do _(you know what I'm talking about)_.
Also we should keep in mind that someone has to pay the more than 24, 000 employees of adobe!
[That is my opinion. Of course it isn't right not paying the creator for their work]
(I hope all the above make sense. Sorry for my grammar/vocabulary/speling issues)

Thanks for the tutorial. This is not to call you out but I thought to respond as perhaps you've not considered this before - you say that captions are 'not just for our friends who are hard of hearing but for you and I, on social media'. This seems as if you presume your audience is not 'hard of hearing' or Deaf - which is odd and othering.

This tutorial worked great. However, I tried removing the video clips and adding new clips so I could keep certain graphics in the same spot for a similar video but now the captions are stuck on the old audio. Is there a way to reset the captions feature without starting from a completely new project?

Hey mate i have a question!
What about if you have two languages in the same video and you wanna transcript just one?
Ive been trying to create the captions but doesn't work at all maybe cause the program get stuck with the other language that you didn't pick up.
Thanks!

I haven't even gotten to the actual tutorial & had to pause at 1min to quickly say I love your vibe! Thank you for always bringing us your uplifting energy _ Now back to the tutorial. Update: just finished watching & following your steps & omg this was so easy! Thanks so much!

Hi, Good video, I'm in France and I only have access to subtitles in English by default. Apparently, Adobe announces that a pack of language modules is downloadable (I actually have the different languages to download in the drop-down menu) but how do you do it? thank you
reply

Any suggestions on how to translate from another language to English?
Also, even though I had saved it, I had to start all over again after a power outage. Is there a way to save it before the whole project is complete?

Captioning has come a long way and it's amazing how transcription is automated now. Insane. But more importantly, thanks to Unmesh for breaking down everything so calmly and easily. Great tutorial.

5: 37 I really appreciate this. I was using a funny version and couldn't figure out why I couldn't click on transcribe and than I realized it was time to get a legit version.
reply

is there a way to download the language packs manually? I bought premiere pro and it didnt come automatically with the English pack, and it always gets stuck on downloading it from the app

Thanks for the warning about version (15+) - I was starting to freak out because I couldn't find that damn Caption button - but then I realized I have version 14. Thanks again!

Is there any way to not just generate but automatically translate the captions as well? I have a video with audio in Spanish but the captions ought to be in English.
reply

The transcription works for me, but it won't let me edit the text and when I click Create Captions, it just creates a new captions track with nothing in it.
reply

i was just looking for captions, but when i saw you made this video, i automatically liked it. you are one of the best makers of tutorials I've ever seen!
reply

The trancribe key is not activated for me, and I could not take advantage of the feature. What is the solution, I am using the Premiere 2022 version
reply

I hate that it doesn't transcribe ums and uhs. I also wish it could auto detect and remove ums and uhs from the audio in the timeline.
reply

AYYY, this was such a blessing, super appreciate this Unmesh! jumping on the captions train! toot tooooot HAHA. blessings brother!
reply

can you change the timing of the captions? like say you only ever wanted a few words at a time could you do that?
reply

Great tutorial. I need to add another layer of subtitles with translation in another language. How can I do that?
reply

Such an easy to follow video. Thank you and good job explaining things clearly, quickly and without acting.
