8 Reasons Why You Should Quit Using Chrome and Use Firefox Instead While Chrome is the most used web browser, it s far from being the best. Firefox from Mozilla is one such option to consider for your daily use. When compared to Chrome, Firefox has additional features built-in, more of a focus on privacy and unlike most of Chromes rivals, it s one of only a few browsers that s not based on Chromium. In this video, I ll show you 8 reasons why you should quit using Chrome and use Firefox instead.

I've been using Firefox since before it was even Firefox - e.g. Netscape Communicator. When that discontinued and Mozilla started Firefox, I was right there to use it. Sure, Firefox has had its ups and downs over the years, but it's always pulled through. I've dabbled with Chrome off and on over the years, but I always find myself returning to Firefox. It has features that Chrome doesn't. I also used to use Thunderbird when I had an ISP email address. If Firefox ever disappears, it'll be a real sad day in the browser market. It's already sad that it's the last non-Chromium browser left. At this point I plant to continue using Firefox as long as I can. Even though it's slower on Android, I use it on my phone as well, including Firefox Focus.

Great video. I switched to Firefox a couple of months ago and doubt I'll go back to Chrome. Firefox isn't quite as fast as Chrome at loading pages, but it's plenty fast enough. Another feature you didn't mention that I use several times a day is the Firefox reading list. Just right click on a page and select add page to reading list then come back to it later that day or the next. No more shutting down my computer at night and forgetting that I just closed a few tabs that I had intended to read. Then the next day I have to go find those links again. That's if I even remember that there was something I was really interested in reading.

Been using firefox since version 3 and now they are at 102 (my how time has flown) and only forced to use Edge to redownload firefox. The reason I mainly used firefox then was it's loading speed for both the app and the web pages I visited. Only Internet explorer was it's competitor then (unless you count netscape or Opera which I think firefox was modeled off of anyways) and then the extensions which I don't think I could do without up till today just kept me using that browser ever since and as mentioned in this video the privacy. Firefox for life unless they somehow start degrading which I don't see happening after all this time.

The co-developer of Mozilla Firefox, Brendan Eich, was forced out of his own company by the woke mob for having had previously supported conservative ideals. He then went on to develop the Brave browser. Though I didn't agree with some of his political opinions, I will not support cancel culture or any mob that shuts down free speech, especially with a platform whose entire purpose is communication and research, both of which should be unbiased. I predominantly use Brave now and won't be going back to my once beloved Firefox that I had used for over a decade.

I switched from Chrome to Firefox last year since I put together a new PC. I have no regrets. Chrome was tracking my browsing history. For example, I would browse different sites for graphics cards and CPU's. Then I would go to a food website looking for recipes or if I wanted to learn how turbo chargers worked, I would find a site for that, then I would see ads of graphics cards and CPU's on those sites.

Although I primarily use Firefox as my browser, one thing I find incredibly annoying is that when you update to a new version, it wipes out all your bookmarks. That's why I avoid updating. Is there any way to avoid this problem. (In addition, when you don't update, you get a reminder pop-up that shows up every time you open a new webpage.)

As Vivaldi user I can say, Firefox lacks UI customisation options. As a result, I have to tinker with theme from github to make interface appear on much smaller scale. Excuse me, but those panels are stup d big. Also, mobile version periodically closes upon opening. I miss Panorama Tab View though, best addon ever.

This is the first of 4 videos in this series focusing on browsers we think are better than Chrome... We wanted this video to be focused on Firefox because it's one of the last relevant browsers NOT based on Chromium. Also, extensions for their mobile app are a game changer!!! Thanks for watching :)

I stopped using Firefox because every time I opened a document in my email it was leaving a copy of it in your downloads folder and some the documents had stuff that should not be viewed by others which because of this issue it is unless I reminded to delete them every time I got done looking at them.

I made 3 different attempts to use Firefox as a desktop browser over the last 15 years, but never lasted much beyond a month due to the too-frequent glitches.
How is FF now for desktop stability, and have the slowness and memory leak problems finally been fixed long-term?
