Who even uses any Roku device anymore?? They are awful compared to all the much better options in the market. Get yourself a solid Android Box like the (Nvidia Shield) box. It cost more than the Roku but does so much MORE then ANY Roku Device. Or any box on the market for that matter, from all the box's and TV devices that I have tested anyway. Don't believe me go check out the Nvidia Shield website and you can see for yourself. I currently have three we're using in our home. And I'm looking to add a fourth one when they go on sale again. They cost more then the aftearket box's but they are worth every single dollar you spend on one. The reason they cost more is because they are built completely High-end with NO Shortcuts in the hardware etc. They are also are regularly updated, to keep everything running as you would expect. And they have outstanding support if you have any questions. It's imo the BEST TV Box and it's also INCREDIBLE Streaming Game's as well as Any other 'Home Game Console' and it also has a Plex Media Server feature, if gives you access to all your stuff for free from anywhere on the world. I personally would not own anything but a Nvidia Shield Android Box anylonger. You get what you pay for. I just wish they paid me for telling people the above info.

I was in Walmart and a guy stopped me to try and get me to get Direct tv I said no thanks I have a TLC ruko TV I don't need cable. He knows what I'm talking about cause he is set up right by the electronics department. Then I go on to tell him cable will not be needed in the next 15 to 20 years he says nah we will never go out of business. I said maybe not but with people depending on the Internet more and more as years go by, I think cable companies need to rethink their cable plans who gone pay 150 to 200 dollars a month to watch something they can damn nere watch for free on ruko, fire stick movie apps ect. What you pay for showtime and HBO you can get for the same as you pay when added to your cable plan. 10 dollars a month for the showtime app and 14 a month for HBO Now and a bunch of apps you can download on any ruko TV or game consoles. Cable is in trouble in 20 years I believed that service will no longer be needed.. He gets quite and says Thank you sir I'm sorry I couldn't assist you have a nice day with a worried and conserned look on his face. Now mind you he said he been with the company 10 years. He may need to start looking for a different profession.

spectrum AKA rectum I was paying 170 a month with cable and internet then they double bill, shows I made a payment but does not reflect on payment received, long story, with these thieves. They are nuts, like ppl need this like car payment which doesn't end and goes up. Dropped everything except the basic internet, and when ATT comes to my area in the next few months, will sign with them. Now I'm saving over 1,100 a year without rectum. Then they have the chops to send that crap mail to get their phone, (what a joke) and other sign on services, until bingooooooo ca-ching. Rectum gets it from both sides, charges their customers hight prices with c-rap streaming content repeats constantly, with all their programs having commercials. So instead of the customers getting ad free programs, they are collecting advertising monies, and we are paying for watching it, which in any content with ads should be free. Well I'm out of Rectum. They don't even come to pick up their equipment, you have to find a store and return it, and wait like you're at a DMV. Not the way to do business rectum.

just thought i'd throw this out. a few months ago i researched and was just about to cut the cord with Dish Network. Uverse and others had a 1 tb cap and i was concerned. checked my data usage from AT&T and i was running about 433 - 510 mb per month (not bad). so i laid it on a nice Dish Network rep who transferred me to a customer retention specialist. nice guy and after about 45 minutes, i got the sweetest deal imaginable. 3 months Showtime free, 30 one time credit, and reduced my monthly bill 45. so now instead of paying 92.00 per month, i pay about 43.00 for the same or better. yea, it's only for one year, but next time around i'll extend the deal or then cord cut. talk to them customer retention specialists. they can do so much more than the regular Joe's.

It s sad that you feel amazom and Netflix is good. There movie selection is very poor. I called and complained there rotation is very slow I have movies that are 5 years old that show current. They inform me there rotation is current when I gave them a list of 15 movies from the sevenths and eighths that are so poor they died in the movies they seam stunned. House of cards was great and orange the new black in the beginning . But now it s so poor. Crackle pops up ads every 2 minutes the only thing I like about it is the 100 b grade horror movies you can watch. You tube tv is great on roku no small tablet watching. Just my 2 cents.

I think they changed how many commercials our on some movie stations there use to be 4 or 5 every 10min or so, but last time it was 1 every 1/2 hour or so, I stop watching some all together because it drove me almost crazy, flip back to cable while commercial was running but the I would go back some times and miss part of the movie but if they show one ever 15 mins is alright,, so in the long run, it's better to show 1 every 15 min, then many people won't change the station, and just give up watching that all together

Cutting the cord has been a money saver for me, I also have Pluto on my iPhone. I also have media box, Coto movies and movie box, I just sit at home and watch movies that are still playing in theaters. If your not familiar with those go to app valley vip on your iPhone . Or on your non iPhone , go to your google play store and look up those or even show box, tons of movies dating back to the 40 s till today

My problem with Roku is not the commercials, you have to make money somehow, it is the fact that the commercials are precisely inserted at a designated time. That means that scenes are cut at unnatural breaks and just when the hero is saying, Why that means the killer is, you have to wait through a series of ED ads. It is more annoying than the length of the commercial breaks.

I've saved so much money by cutting cable and streaming platforms. YouTube is great endless options. Film rise is awesome I don't like popcornflix so much they tend to have the same ad 6 times in a row and after a few times listening to the same ad it's just annoying. Roku is amazing even got my parents to dumb cable and Netflix my sister is switching also.
