To he honest. jeff even in 2020 still has sh--ty calves. And if you just do these golf dad workouts that you would probably see at CURVES under no heavy resistance. you arnt gonna get big calves.
Jeff's stuff is great for athletics. but not really for hypertrophy or getting -big- but I think if you did take his stuff and put heavier weights and more classic bodybuilding principles to it. you could get some pretty big gains.
Genetics applies too. I have huge calves and I do 5 sets of 15 1 a week. some other guys punish their calves 4 times a week. but they still have that chicken leg, small calf thing going. just the way it is

Only thing about walking-I can do it all day without actually exhausting any muscles. But I can just hold on to a door frame and do regular straight-legged calf raises until I can only raise my heels about an inch off the floor, no matter how hard I push; and then I have to walk very carefully. Yeah, I might have to do 250-400 calf raises to exhaust them, but it seems like that would make some difference just because of the exhaustion factor.

Jeff, I really like your videos, they offer really great tips and areas of focus for me. I have one request though, can you take like 10-20 seconds to run through a few good reps all the exercises from the videos you make in the future? That way when I'm outside of the gym I can focus on the whole video, but when I'm at the gym I can just go to the demonstration part, and learn the proper form and activation as I'm doing my workouts.

not really related to calves, well kinda in a way, what should a daily exercise routine look like? I'm a complete novice at weight lifting and exercise and Ive been watching videos where they say that legs and abs should be worked out every day. Combine these routines with your regular cardio, chest, or arm work out and we are looking at a good hour and 40 minutes. If there a good routine to minimize time and still get good results?

Can I do this workout on days where I'm letting my quads and hamstrings rest? I want to target calves every other day, and leave them out of my actual -leg day- so that during leg day I can spend more time targeting quads and hamstrings, how much does this calves workout target quads and hamstrings? Would it be a bad idea to work calves on days where quads and hamstrings should be resting?

Years ago I was talking to a Mr UK winner, he told me that he had a block of wood fixed to a pair of his shoes under the balls of his feet, each night he'd go for a short walk and concentrate on getting a stretch with each step (I guess he didn't care about what people thought when they saw him lol. The guy had huge calves! Not sure what Jeff would make of that idea though?

Jeff, your videos are awesome and very helpful. i was wondering why when I work out my calves and I go to failure the middle part of my foot starts hurting? I would really appreciate at response as as possible because I'm very insecure about my calves and I'm trying to work them as mush as possible but I can't because of the pain.

I love this. I have tried so many different bodybuilding sites and videos trying to get a workout to put some size on my calves but they all pretty much say the same things. and none of them work. Glad I found this and I will implement these techniques tomorrow.

Calves are definitely my weak spot and I-ve been torturing myself for the past couple of months to get them built up. Now I-m finally seeing some gains, but it-s a very slow process. Patience, consistency, and extreme pain is what will get me to where I want to be.
