Get More MMI Shoulder Exercises: When deciding what shoulder exercises to do to make up your shoulder workout the focus should never remain strictly on the shoulders! In fact, if you want to get even better results from your workouts you need to start training muscles the way that they are meant to be trained. and you'll get an additive effect! Enter MMI or Maximum Muscle InteraXion. MMI allows the muscles of the entire upper body to function and work together to produce even greater size and strength gains than could be achieved by training either the chest, shoulders or abs in isolation. As you'll see in this insane shoulder exercise. not only will you be working out your shoulders with this shoulder press variation, (specifically the front delts) but also the upper chest and abs at the same time. By doing these together in one exercise you can be sure that you tie in all of the muscle groups that are supposed to train together

you know what it so annoying? I use a lot of these at the gym and I would always get trainers coming up to me CORRECTING ME, telling me Its wrong and not to believe what I see on google.
Sometimes i think its a jealously thing because. I look 10 times better then all the female trainers in that place and they see me working with a friend (maybe they see me stealing clients but I am not a trainer- i just learn from athleanX an have a workout buddy.
I honestly feel, a lot of them might not know as much as they think they do and see 'different' as a threat.
I am at a point where I want to switch gyms.
ever since they saw me with a friend, now all of a sudden they have advice to give. with I worked out a lone for 4 yrs, no one ever bothered me.

1. One should not move with the core with serious weights as the compound movement is enough to focus on.
2. If you want to include isometric ab training in your shoulder training - well, whatever (why not trash your abs during rowing movements or squats. But then stay in one position, leaning as far backwards as you can maintain throughout the set.
3. The movement he shows activates the hip flexor, without concentric or eccentric movement of the apps. You should do the opposite. Don't train the hip flexor, train the antagonists. Most people have serious muscular disbalances in the hip.

I use bands and not weights for my workouts so that was interesting to get into a position to use them. Its a interesting movement. From top (vertical) to bottom I can do four reps, or two reps per side down and four reps or two full reps up. Im not sure what Im supposed to be feeling exactly Im going to add this into my workout on Monday and really try this out.

You can't -work on- so-called tie-ins. the tendons and ligaments are ATTACHED AND FIXED. one exercise or some angle won't change any of that! you can only make the muscle bigger or smaller. bigger will look a lot better! want better shoulders? then go from shoulder pressing 100 pounds to shoulder pressing 200 pounds. pretty damn simple.

Awesome exercise Jeff. I have the same dunbells, up to 85 lbs. plus some Bowflex adjustable dumbbells that I use everyday. Stop buying booze and cigarettes and go to work regularly and you'll be able to afford home exercise equipment! Way to go Jeff, I love your videos. one of these days I'll buy one of your programs and, they're a steal!

Jeff, great advice, I like all your videos. But I had to tweak your tweak a little since I am a 70 year old man. Instead of kneeling on the floor I lean back and forth while sitting on the bed. It seems to be pretty effective. Keep up the great advice. I intend to keep lifting until i'm one hundred and beyond.

these videos are so good and helpful. I appreciate that, it has helped me a lot. I was wondering when you say to train hard your shoulders for 30 minutes, what if I also want to train my forearm for another 20 minutes, it would be 50 minutes in total, is that still the ideal or I am kind of overtraining too?

My question here is. Can I use this for a ripping down set for my shoulders & top chest? As I do not exute cardio - all for ripping down only light weights as I do bodybuilding. As well will this make my shoulders & chest look more solid inform & how many reps & sets would I do on toning sets?
