One of the most effective ways to burn fat at home is with a conditioning workout that requires little to no equipment and can burn hundreds of calories. quickly! In this video, top pro athlete David Wright shows you how you can use a simple, inexpensive jump rope to put together an incredible fat loss workout you can do at home. In order to burn fat, you have to make sure that your workouts are of high enough intensity to cause oxidation without being purely aerobic. Forget the nonsense where people tell you to work out at a low intensity to burn fat. Sure, you may burn a higher percentage of calories from fat but you won't burn nearly as many calories as you will with higher intensity interval training. That is why, with a higher overall calorie burn doing a high intensity workout, you'll see a larger number of overall fat loss. That said, in this jump rope workout you can start to burn fat with just a few rounds and about 13 minutes of total training. In these few moves, you'll work not only your conditioning and help with more fat loss but you will also get benefits in your forearms and rotator cuffs from moving the rope

I know this is an old video but if anyone could help I have an issue that may just take more practice or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have been trying to jump rope for weeks now to replace running due to pain in my shins (even though I am running correctly now) and I can't seem to keep a rhythm for more than 10-15 seconds. I'm not tired by that point by any means but I always mess up. I noticed in this video the roe had knots in it to make it shorter, is there a certain height to rope length ratio that I'm unaware of or do I just need to work on rhythm?

I'm almost 55 and had an ankle injury years ago (on ice) that stopped me skipping. Your video has inspired me to get back into it, thanks! I'm taking it slow (building up to the reps you show and reducing set rest time) and progressing at an easy pace until I'm sure my ankle (strengthened from regular exercise) is up to it. This is very like the rope workout I did a couple of times a week up until my mid 30s, Dad was a boxer and showed me these moves and many others when I was a kid. Skipping is a great workout.

Hi Jeff I just joined team Athlean last week and finished my 1st day and I just had to say its definitely the best/most intense workout ive done. 100% worth the money just for the meal plan, its very simple and cheap to shop for. its my meal plan for life now. The workouts are killer. All I have to say is I know why spiderman is in such great shape (spiderman crawls) you made that look so easy in the tutorial lol. Anyway im gonna rest up for day 2. Thanks for giving me the tools to change my life

I can relate; I have some minor knee pain myself, and more severe ankle/foot pain (from plantar fasciitis and a recent sprain. The most joint-friendly form of cardio I've found, that's available to me, is bicycling, though swimming can also be good. You might also do a web search for weighted hula hoops, if that's not uncomfortable for your hips; they offer cardio training with virtually no shock to leg joints. There are good kettlebell-based cardio workouts too.

Well you don't know then! The number of reps makes no difference. Jeff is not a body builder. He is not looking for massive muscle gain which involves heavy lifting. He's looking for athletic type conditioning. That's why it's called AthleanX. = ATHlete LEAN EXercise. Geddit?
Body builders who want to add muscle mass do fewer reps because they are training to failure and there is no point in taking ages to get there when it can be done in a few reps.

Rope jumping is a terrific way to build stamina and burn calories, and Jeff lays out a great program here. It's perhaps not for everyone - people with hip, knee, or ankle pain can experience a lot of discomfort with the jump rope. But if you're young enough or undamaged enough to use the jump rope, it's one of the best pieces of equipment there is. (Side bonus - you can take it anywhere)

He's was talking about hard, dense muscle. You certainly don't need to do high weight/low rep training to achieve that. If Jeff wanted massive arms he'd have to change his methods but he doesn't. I suspect most guys would be happy to have a body like his rather than look like Dorian Yates or Ronnie Coleman!

In order to improve your body u need to.
A. Train hard.
B. Eat well (acording what u want mass or definition )
C. Recovery (sleep)
But if u really want to see results u need to take suplements. As protein, ZMA, glutamine. etc.
Ask your trainner, read, and do it. ;)
