and lose your six pack soon after? If you rely on carbohydrate restrictive eating plans, obsessive food measuring, macro overcomplication, etc you are just making your chances of getting ripped that much harder. In this video, I show you a simple eating technique that you can apply to any meal to ensure that you are on the right track. You divide your plate and fill it with proteins, fibrous carbs and starchy carbs (in amounts explained) while never steering away from the all important high quality incidental fats. Start off by occupying half of your plate with protein. You can choose whatever protein source you prefer the most whether it be chicken, steak, turkey, fish, lentils or any other vegetarian source if desired. You then decide the remaining half based on your given physique goals. If you are overtly overweight and need to start dropping a substantial amount of body fat, you definitely will want to not avoid carbs however you would choose mostly from fibrous sources. There are so many options to choose from but my favorite are zucchini and onions, broccoli rabe, braised carrots, and grilled asparagus to name a few. If you aren-t battling weight issues and instead are focused on building lean, ripped athletic muscle you would divide that remaining half with healthy sources of complex or starchy carbs. Again, my favorite here are sweet potatoes, pasta, and brown rice to name a few. The key to eating for a six pack (and keeping it) is choosing from foods that you actually like eating. There is no faster way to giving up on your goal of getting a six pack than by forcing yourself to eat foods you hate. Even worse, making your meal preparation a ten step process if likely to make you want to quit pretty quick as well. If you want to get a ripped six a pack year round without needing to be a trained chef to do it, I would highly recommend you

If people want to get lean the best way is to NOT follow the American diet that sadly has taken over the world. Here in mini America (Sorry England) we all eat like yanks. And now look like them. We never had this problem 15 years ago. Now kids cannot do a lap of the track. Couple this with the iPhone social media lifestyle (both American inventions) and bingo - the get fat quick protocol. How to get lean is to do the absolute reverse.
No i'm not saying lets blow America up haha. I'm saying try hard to just stop eating the easiest high street options. Like the guy in this vid, eat wholesome food in the quantities given. Eat like nature intended. Not America. Go out and play like nature intended and not the American Homer Simpson lifestyle who is after all modeled on the average American.
I'm sorry, have many friends who are American but the American dream is whats wrong with the world and the American lifestyle is why everyone is now fat. Of course there are some tremendously fit people in America. Like the guy in this vid. But he doesn't follow the Homer Simpson lifestyle and wonder why he's fat. It ain't rocket science people!

What about drinking diet coke and other sugarfree drinks? I eat healthy overall and also excercise alot, both cardio and muscles.
Do I need to stop drinking all sorts of sugarfree drinks in order to get a six pack? I'm kind of addicted and I also kind of drink diet coke and such instead of eating candy or other fat foods.
I'm not entirely sure how big of a deal sugarfree drinks actually are, I know they can be bad, but they can't be the 1 and only main factor leading to me not being able to build a six pack right?

I do 3 months on Keto. 2 weeks off. 3 months on Keto. 2 weeks off. repeat all year. Seems to work well for me. I-m 36 male, 5-5-, 142lbs, neck 15-, waist 30-, and stay around 11-12% body fat all time. When ON I stay under 50 grams of carbs and I-ll eat Salmon, Tuna, Plain pork skins, green veggies, low carb frozen meals, etc. When OFF I go up to 125 grams of carbs but eat whatever I want. Haven-t gained a pound back doing it this way and when I started I was 172lbs last year.

Every time I try to figure out what a meal plan should look like for me, it's definitely a nuisance. Pick up a book, long story short it basically says 100% veggie. Next book, first you need to abandon all the body fat percentage tools there are and get calipers to figure out your body fat.
Looking for a basic plan somewhere to start with then modify for what I need, but I either need to be made of magic or study old sciences.

I appreciate the focus on sustainable solutions. This is always a key focus for me. That said, what about timing in relationship to which kind of workout? When is it best to eat more or less carbs, etc. before, during, or after weights, yoga, ab/cardio days, etc. This is a linchpin area in my understanding between the relationship to food and exercise.

I do 2-3 slices of chicken breast, small sweet potatoe, broccoli, cauliflower carrots and spinach blend. About the same portions. Works great for a daily gym goer. The cauliflower really helps with making you feel full, so if you are struggling with that, add it to every meal and you will feel fuller longer and easier. Plus it's nutritious!

I have a problem. If I eat this two times per day I will stay in 16% bodyfat all my life or even get more fat. How can I get lower than this. Eat one plate and starve? I am an intermediate in the gym and I use a 4 day split with compounds and reps fluctuating from 6 to 12 reps. I rarely do cardio. I smoke and drink diet coke.

I'm doing this with 3/6 the plate veg 2/6 proteins and 1/6 slow carbs and good fats (mostly chicken a fish for the protein) but should I have more carbs or maybe more starchy carbs now that, although I am working on losing a bit more body and belly fat, I am pretty happy with my weight, visual fat and muscles?
