t trust. Get Jeff Cavaliere-s exact supplements here When it comes to taking supplements, there are a lot of questions as to when you should begin taking them and which ones are better than others. I think you have to start by breaking down the nutritional supplements into categories. In this video, I categorize multivitamins, specialty vitamins, protein powders, pre workouts, creatine, BCAA-s, creatine, omega-3-s and joint recovery formulas. Each group is discussed in relation to one of four age brackets regarding their appropriateness. All of the supplements discussed are ones that I take myself and would recommend to others. You will not see any testosterone boosters or pro hormones because I don-t believe in them or recommend them to my viewers. Even the pre workout supplements must undergo severe scrutiny based on the dangers that have been shown to riddle that product category for the past couple of years. All that said however, I make it very clear that any supplementation plan must start with a commitment to good nutrition. If you think that you are going to make up for a bad diet by taking supplements you are flat out fooling yourself, and likely wasting a lot of money. Supplements are meant to supplement a good nutrition plan. When you have a dedication to eating well, not perfect, but well-supplements can be a savior and a huge difference maker as they really help with the consistency needed to see great results. Some manufacturers want you to believe that their supplement will help you overcome poor nutrition. They will make you think that you can simply sleep your way to a six pack. It-s laughable and dishonest to say the least. The hard truth of the matter is that high quality nutrition is a must if you want to really see the fastest and best results possible. That said, ATHLEAN-X is committed to both proper nutrition and high quality, safe supplements. Through our X-Factor meal plan, available in the ATHLEAN-X Training System, and the Rx supplements we provide our program followers with all the tools needed to make a big difference in how they look in just 90 days. If you want to get either or both, you can head to and start eating and training like an athlete

I-m not a medical or exercise science expert, but based on my own experience and intuition I think 14-19 year olds should not use preworkouts with caffeine. Stimulant-free preworkouts at that age could be a good compromise to improve exercise efficiency and intensity without messing with sleep cycles or developing a caffeine dependence.
Even into your 20s and beyond, I-d say you should watch your caffeine intake because some preworkouts have HUGE amounts of it, and it definitely has impacts on your body and mind that can sneak up on you-and this is coming from a dedicated coffee drinker

The taste is unbearable, with too much sugar in it. 6 grams sugar in 19 grams ( a scoop) of powder! Read the list of ingredients before you buy. All three jars contain sucralose or Splenda, the artificial sweetener that causes gut upset.
I am afraid to destroy a microbiome taking so much Splenda every day. Animal studies link sucralose to negative effects on the bacterial environment in the gut. I would love to buy the RX supplements from you as soon as you release an unflavored version without any artificial sweeteners and organic. The product is overpriced and has no refund.

Hi Jeff. I am wondering what vitamins should I take before a workout? And which vitamins after workout? I already take your supplements but also have CLA, multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin C, joint health and calcium that I want to add to my schedule. I just don't know when is the best time to take them all since I workout first thing in the morning when I wake up and my breakfast is literally a whey protein shake and X-cite. Please advise me. I have researched all your videos and I haven't been able to find out WHEN.

High Jeff just wanted to say thanks for all your workout videos and no bs information you are always straight to the point and honest, and that's honestly refreshing. I just have one quick question regarding supplements. Since this video is from 2015 i was wondering what is the newest version of your RX-2 Protein/BCCA's/Creatine combination powder? Looking at purchasing some and just didn't want to buy the wrong kind. Thanks for all your hard work and information over the years.

Jeff: I am interested in purchasing the Mechan-X for my knee joints which are nearly bone-on-bone. There is some cartilage left, but not much as I can hear the rubbing in the morning when I am stretching my quads and hamstrings in bed before I get up.
The description for the product says that it AIDS in cartilage repair. Could you explain a bit more as to what this statement actually means, i. e. what and how does it aid in the repair!

My son is 13 and weight training with me. It's the first thing that he's been interested in that doesn't require a computer chair. There isn't a lot of play going on outdoors these days so I feel kids gotta find it elsewhere. Sad to say but look at those courts, fields and diamonds and notice a lack of kids.
Now I WILL admit that I waited until 13 because I ended up with low-key injuries from starting at 10 years old.

Hello Jeff, so, my father thinks that creatine monohydrate is very very dangerous and will hurt my kidneys and liver even after i have shown him everything on the net saying it's not that harmfull. I am 17 i have good -nutrition- and i was thinking of adding a supplement. I chose Creatine because it isn't that expensive. How do i convince my parents that it's not harmful? Please Please reply.

Seriously? He actually says this isn't a buy my products a video. That's exactly what it is. It's just him plugging his products over and over again. Green tea, flaxseed oil, creatine, and a multivitamin and you should be good to go. Why spend a whole lot of money just for a product endorsed by some dude on the internet?

So im glad this video is reinforcing my instinct to take supplements. except creatine and pre-workout. i dont use that for me since it doesnt work well with my body. its given me seizures. other than that everything is good.

Look into getting into preworkout. Been working out for 1-2 years already but I-ve notice I have low energy when I workout. I eat pretty good and gets lots of sleep. I-ve seen companies and articles online saying I shouldn-t take preworkout at my age (17) so I would like some other peoples opinions.
