star major leaguer Carlos Beltran. Carlos is known to have some of the strongest and biggest forearms in the game. To perform this forearm workout circuit simply grab hold of an Olympic Barbell weighing 45 lbs with both hands. Grip your hands around the bar with either an overhand or underhand grip. If you start with your hands gripped over the bar you will want to spin the bar backwards and rotate it in your hands by extending the wrists and activating the forearm extensors. Keep alternating the motion in the right forearm and left forearm as you rotate the bar in your hands and build up the burn. See if you can continue this for at least one minute without taking a break and work your way up to 90 seconds if you are able to. Immediately after completing, flip your grip so that you are now holding underneath the bar (as if preparing to do a barbell curl. Repeat the motion this time curling your wrists towards your body and activating the forearm flexors. Rotate the bar for as long as you can until you cannot withstand the burn in your forearms any more. Finally, complete your forearm workout to get bigger forearms by using a switch grip with one wrist under and one over the bar. The hand that is placed under the bar will act to provide resistance to the hand that is over the bar. Both forearms will be using the forearm flexors but will be doing so in opposite directions. This is an intense variation of the move and one that you will aim to perform for 15 reps on each arm if you can. If you-re looking

can achieve the same pump on a rowing machine instead of pulling all the way back with your upper arms and back twist your wrists back at the end of the stroke before pulling all the way back.
then turn your grip over to underhand and curl your hand up as your pulling towards your chest or stomache.
the rowing machine lets you smoothly and fluidly change from targeting one muscle group to the next.
entire back, legs, shoulders, biceps, fore arms, core.

What are your thoughts on palm-up and palm down barbell wrist curls? When I try and do palm up wrist curls with a straight bar I feel like my thumbs are going to break, so I put them on the same side as my fingers and then I feel like I am getting a bigger pump, but I also feel like my grip strength might be suffering. I want to have a normal grip when I do this, but it is so uncomfortable and I don't get the same pump.

Sorry to sound like I am arguing which I am not A pump is not indicative of growth. you are working on stamina. Go heavy on reverse curls. Go heavy on pullups, rows dead lifts and you will stimulate grip strength assuming you aren't using wraps. Don't get mad anyone but I have been lifting at least 30 years. Just sharing what worked for me.

I-ve been training my forearms for about 6-7 months now. My inside of the forearm (flexors) won-t grow. The rest of the forearm is okay now. I was really skinny so didn-t have any muscle there already, almost can-t see the muscles in the flexors. Can anyone give some tips? I-m so insecure about them.

Hi there
I pulled my biceps near the forearm about a year ago, I need to work on my forearms without hurting myself again.
I tried some rope rolling with 5lb and my forearm is throbbing in an annoying way, doesn-t hurt, but it bothers even when I-m asleep.
Any suggestions please!

lol my dad told me about this method a few months ago and I swear to god my forearms have gotten ridiculously built AND strong TRY THIS also grab a thin rope and tie a plate to it and touch the weight to the ground and do that motion until the weight is all the way to the bar.

I just did it for almost 15 mins with small rest in between, trust me it when I just touched my forearms with my fingers afterwards, it was f--king strong & hard. Really worked great, in fact I never expected it to be.

I've been doing these every other day for 3 months, I'm finally seeing some muscles in my left forearm. Best forearm exercise!
I usually use a much less heavy bar though, it's true you can just use a baseball bat!

I have have no doubt about that doing is will give you a serious forearm pump. The question is still: will it make your forearm grove? And the most important is: does it improve your hand strength?
