Ab Workout that Burns Fat (YES IT-S POSSIBLE)

The key is that you want to be able to slide your feet on the floor quickly in order to get your heart rate pumping and help you to burn fat. Begin with a rapid sliding mountain climber for 30 seconds. The goal of this exercise is not only to get your pulse up but to work your abs at the same time. If you find that you want more of an ab challenge you can always pick your feet up off the ground and perform a more traditional version of the mountain climber but just make sure it doesn-t compromise the speed at which you perform the exercise. The faster you can keep the pace up and the longer you can maintain it, the more this workout will help you to burn more fat. Next you perform the ab exercise known as sliding gymnast abs. This core crusher is a tough abs exercise that really puts your six pack in focus. Try to perform 10 reps of this move and return to another round of the sliding mountain climbers for 30 seconds. You next move onto 5 reps of sliding twisting oblique tucks to each side. This exercise will once again help you carve out that entire six pack and core by attacking the -framing- muscles of your abs called your obliques. As soon as you-re done with these 10 reps you move back to the sliding mountain climbers but this time you want to move them at an angle to either the right or left sides. Keep this going and return to the gymnast abs for 10 more reps and finish out the circuit by performing the last set of sliding mountain climbers to the opposite side for 30 seconds. If at any point during this home ab workout routine you have to rest, try to do so out of a modified plank position with your knees on the ground. This will ensure that you get a chance to catch your breath but not take the tension off your abs. In order to keep the fat burning aspect of the ab workout up you have to try and keep the pace moving as quickly as you can. Hey Jeff, I love your videos. It's good to see someone actually basing workouts on the way the body works. In a video on love handles you mentioned the mistake of over developing the QL muscles and how that can thicken your waist. Mine are over developed from years of martial arts/ Kickboxing and working on strength in my kicks. (the round house is probably the biggest culprit) I am not short waisted as you mentioned in the video. I'm 6' 1- & about 205 lbs. I'm probably a little over 15% body fat at the moment and plan to get back to the 10% range. I don't like the shape of my QL muscles when i am that body fat however. They look worse than when I'm less defined. Is there a good exercise that would trim them some?

Hi I'm 52 years old and worked out over the last 15 years on and off over the last few years I have developed a belly which I can't get rid off, your work out seems ideal to me but compared to running or regular abs exercises it seems really hard, can you maybe post something that will help beginners which I still consider my self because when it comes to the gym people like me are weekend warriors.

Hey i don't have a surface i can slide on so could i swap this for an interval thing where i did each exercise for 30 seconds each an swapped it out for a side crunch left and right hanging from a dip station so basically bringing my knees into each handle of the station followed by a regular plank then mountain climbers regular also and half burpees and did numerous sets of this

That is great, and it looks like it would create killer shreds, but I really don't have the ability to do that yet. Mountain climbers are tough for more than like 20 seconds and side sets of M. C. doesn't even appear possible. Not even bringing up the gymnast tuck.
What can someone like me (has a gut) do to get into the shape needed to even start an abs workout like this?

hey can anyone tell me if its ok to work my abs if i'm trying to lose inches off my waist i have a lot of lower belly fat and i'm scared that if i work my core to much it will just make it bigger then it is right now can anyone help me i'm trying to join the military and im only two inches off my goal for enlistment would very much appreciate the help

I am 45 yo and have been using the AX six pack promise app. I did the whole eight week program and my wife is really impressed with my abs, in fact, she has started the training as well. I will add this to my daily exercises combining, fat burning, muscle building cardio focusing on the abs. Thanks a lot Jeff cavalier you-re the bomb man!

My mate we-re talking among each other about their diet program and how much weight they had dropped. Originally I of course wanted to make this happen and I have lost a grand total of 16lbs from the -sowo hope site- (Google it. Personally i think much better after trying this kind of life-altering diet.

Circuit:
30s Sliding Mountain Climber.
10 Gymnast Tucks.
30s SLiding Mountain Climber.
10 Sliding Knee Tucks.
30s Sliding Mountain climber to the side.
10 Gymnast TUcks.
30s Sliding mountain climbers to the other side.
Repeat for 15-20 mins.

Eventually, I have discovered a diet plan that is successful for me. If only this diet would have been in my entire life a lot earlier. Be sure to google -sowo amazing plan-! Of all the diets in the world, this method is the best, I lost Almost 8 pounds.
