I'm not a fan of vinegar. What I would recommend is buying fresh whole ginger, skin it thinly (as more of the good stuff sits right underneath the surface, slice it thinly, put it in a mug with some lime or lemon, add boiling hot water, put a saucer on top to save the heat and let it steep until drinkable. Only THEN add honey (to preserve the good enzymes therein) and voila: Youve got a hot beverage that actually tastes really good! Together with a cup of coffee its my standard workout -doping- when I go running as it also increases blood circulation and helps to reduce lactate levels. You can actually feel it giving you a boost! Its also the best natuarl way to help with a cold!

I love that stuff. But some sort of a recipe would be awesome. Most of the industrial pickled ginger contains a lot of sugar, at least where I am living. Also, most recipes use sugar, syrup, mirin (also sugar.
Don't get me wrong, please. But a lot of your food suggestions could need a recipe. Even if I want to cook the meals you are mentioning in your meal plan, I have to search for a healthy version. Most of them need sugar, butter/additional fat. it would be just more convenient if you could offer an easy (doesn't has to be perfect) recipe.
I wish I could help you do that. I still enjoy your videos a lot and will still watch them.

I make a chai brew that I use to for my protein shakes. there are a lot of ingredients, but the main ones are
- ginger
- turmeric
- cinnamon
- licorice root
- a little bit of fat to make them bio-available (usually a dab of coconut oil, grassfed butter or MCT)
- whey protein powder (about 40g)
- collagen powder (about 10g)
- fermented beet juice for better circulation (I've heard this is actually banned in some competitions, but I can't confirm this)
basically you just brew the herbs, strain, throw in the butter, wait for it to melt and whisk in the dry ingredients. cut my muscle soreness by about 75%

I have been trying out Ginger Tea in the morning after watching this video (I take ginger root, peal it and cut it up in to thin slices and boil it for about 15 to 20 minutes. I have noticed a few things: it wakes me up in the morning, makes me not hungry between meals/snacks, and believe it or not, has been helping with times when I get muscle soreness. I have high cholesterol as well, so hopefully my next blood work will show my cholesterol has lowered. I might eventually try it ground up in a shake, but for now, tea is good enough for me.

My only allergy is ginger. I'm sensitive enough that my throat tightened a few years ago when I tried a slice of pumpkin pie. Their recipe called for 1/4 tbsp, so I'm pretty sensitive. I've never had a negative reaction to turmeric or cardamom in the same family, but I'm constantly reminded that Ginger is the MVP. I was in a major accident a few years ago, 20 something surgeries, so of course people are going to suggest ginger for the inflammation (due to physical activity, I'm not sedentary. Any advice as to the -next best thing-?

I have a quick question regarding ginger? Yes, I know you said you can cook with it. You put it in your eggs every mornings. My question is, would ginger tea make the same difference? I make my self ginger tea every night before i go to bed and every morning after i drink my 2 bottles of water of the gatorade 32 oz of water. So would ginger tea work the same way as if you eat it like a snack or cook with it? Just wondering, what is your opinion?

1)Shred raw ginger with coarse cheese grater, about 2 tablespoons worth
2) place in large coffee mug (16 oz) with water
3) microwave for 2-2. 5 minutes
4) let stand for 10 minutes, strain tinto clean mug
5) enjoy
This has done so much good for my guts I cannot overstate it. Not only that, it-s damn spicy and delicious and settlers me in for the night. I do it after dinner.

My acupuncturist told me that many many years ago (when she was a practicing as pharmacist in addition, she would prescribe ginger tea to those who would complain about increasing muscle fatigue and soreness that wouldn't go away with stretching. There wasn't much evidence at the time to prove it's efficacy, but it worked almost all the time.

I loooove pickled ginger. Now I have good excuse to eat it! I suffer from fibromyalgia but love to stay active. There are a lot of days my body doesn't like to let me stand, let alone do the things I want to do. It's easy for me to overdo it too. I'm going to stop at the store before work today and get a jar. I'm super excited about this!

Also don't eat anything cooked with plant oil, canola, corn, soy, etc. These are highly toxic chemical causes diabetes, heart attack, stoke and cancer. Eat and cook with butter or animal fats is awesome for your body and health. When you see fat person those fat are from vegetable oil stores in the body not being able to process by muscle.
