m going to reveal what I eat at every single meal; breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as snacks throughout the day. Many people have wanted to know what to eat to stay ripped and shredded year round without sacrificing hard earned muscle or being too skinny. This will show you exactly what to eat to build muscle and stay lean 365 days a year. It starts with breakfast. Here my staple meal is pumpkin walnut oatmeal. One thing you will see is that I don-t often measure any of the foods I eat. I find this to be too time consuming and likely to turn eating into too much of a process. Once a person becomes even the slightest bit inconvenienced by the process, they opt for an easier (and often times unhealthier mechanism) and the quality of the nutrition suffers greatly. Here however, I show that I have about a cup of uncooked oats in my oatmeal. This equates to about 300 calories. When you add in the maple syrup, pumpkin, walnuts and brown sugar you are looking at about 550 calories for this portion of the breakfast. I get in additional protein however in the form of an egg white souffl-. This is made by putting in about 7-10 egg whites into a microwave safe bowl and cooking them for a little over 2 minutes. Finish with some pickled ginger and salsa and you have an incredibly fast and tasty side dish. I have a glass of skim milk as well which brings this breakfast to about 850 calories. Moving on, for lunch I tend to have a grilled chicken wrap with grilled or saut-ed veggies. For this particular wrap it-s zucchini and eggplant. On top, I usually have a combination of hot sauce and pesto (for some additional healthy fats) at a fairly large size wrap, which brings the total to about 550 calories. Throw in a full fat greek yogurt with some whipped cream and the lunch totals just about 755 calories. Dinner usually varies quite often but follows the plate concept that I shared in a previous video on youtube. I like to divide my plate into zones. The two occupying the largest amount of space on the plate are my protein and fibrous carbohydrates or vegetables. The remainder of the plate is filled up with a starchy carb or two. On this particular night I had grilled chicken as my protein with a mango ginger salsa on top. The fibrous carb was corn but could just as easily be asparagus, broccoli, grilled mushrooms, etc. The starchy carbs are a combo of sweet potato mash (with butter and cinnamon) and pasta. I have sparkling water with this (and almost every other meal as well) since it makes hydration more interesting and helps me to ensure I-m getting in enough fluids throughout the day. The total amount of calories here (when included with the tomato chicken orzo soup is around 900 calories or so. I finish the night with dessert. That-s right. I may only eat carrot cake once a year but I have a dish of fat free frozen yogurt with whipped cream every single night. I do tend to stick to the lower calorie variations for dessert since I don-t want to turn this into a mammoth calorie bomb at night before going to bed. I feel this would certainly cost me my leanness. The meals or snacks in between consist of an RX2 X-LR8 protein shake. I don-t show this since I didn-t want to turn this into a commercial for the supplements. While I believe I have the highest quality supplements on the market and wouldn't put the name Jeff Cavaliere on anything I didn't feel were that, I don-t want you to feel as if you need to have them to get results eating the way I do. You will. The supplements simply make it easier to stay consistent with getting the high quality nutrition that my muscles need from their hard training. While these are calorie estimates, the most important thing is that you can see that I-m not taking in 1400 calories to stay as lean as I do. I-m also not eating in excess of 5, 000 calories in a day. I take in just about 3000 to 3500 calories in a day to support my efforts in the gym. The key is my consistency in doing it. If you want to see best results you have to stay consistent with the quality of the nutrition that you take in each day, regardless of which style of eating works best for you. For a step by step meal plan that comes with almost every single program I create, head to the link below and get the program that best suits your training goals. Along with that will be a day by day meal plan telling you exactly what to eat to get ripped and build muscle at the same time

Everything looked good until the corn, unfortunately due to a genetic disease, I had to get all of my colon removed and thanks to that I can no longer digest corn regardless of how it's prepared which sucks because I grew up on sweet corn and mashed potatoes. There are a lot of things I'm not supposed to eat, red meat being one of them, so now it's just fish and chicken. I also have to limit bean intake, basically anything that can bind me up, will.
Which is really annoying because I'd like to lose weight and start by eating healthy, but unfortunately I guess I'll be stuck with bland uninspired meals unless I want to spend a week in the hospital every time I get an ileus in my j-pouch that also causes kidney failure.

Every morning i have coffee, i have never paid attention to how much of condiments i was putting into my coffee cause i have never cared, just wanted it to taste sweet.
I started watching jeffs videos about 2-3 months ago or so, and i decided that i was gonna start watching what i put in my mouth. So i looked at how i was preparing my coffee, i was making my coffee almost 500 calories per cup. Because of how much creamer i was using, I was shocked!
I immediately corrected that and now my coffee every morning is about 180 calories.

This is good, in the last few years I have led a less active lifestyle post heart surgery than I should which has led to my being pre diabetic. I'm concerned with carb intake as a result but I'm wondering if I just wasn't active enough at that time. I'm going to the gym three times a week for about 2 hours a day, I am doing some cardio in those sessions so I'm interested to see where my diabetes is in relation. I'm also trying to reduce my body fat percentage at the same time.

Omg I can't believe what I just heard you say. My aunt passed away in 1997 at age 37. Of a rare cancer and was most likely spending so much time in front of a microwave. Back in the 80s Microwaves were like 200lbs lol and always placed on a cart. Unlike today alot of us they sit on counter top which is higher up or up under a cabinet. Spent many days at Johns Hopkins. Surgery after surgery. Lost her with in 2 yrs of diagnosis. Thanks for sharing more than food.

1. Splenda helped me wean off sugar in my coffee.
2. Ppl asked you about cinnamon? (Heads off to research cinnamon)
3. I'm the mom who teaches her kids to read labels and that granola bars are treats, not health food.
4. I could eat oatmeal for breakfast every friggin day but want variety at dinner and lunch.
5. It's all about what you can do sustainably.
I watch your videos to stay motivated to keep applying the knowledge.

I usually eat one significant meal a day. Sometimes I skip a meal and just snack. Or sometimes I'll fast for a day. Usually I start the day with a couple of bananas and juice. My main meal is usually plant based, but I also like cheese, butter and yogurt. I don't drink milk tho. Haven't done that for decades. Spices are good too. And hot peppers. Also, I usually have some red wine with dinner. And maybe a shot or 2 of tequila. Heyhey.

Love it man. Goes to show you can enjoy what you eat and still stay lean as long as you stay active.
My maintenance intake was 4200 calories - 91kgs, 12% BF, olympic weightlifting daily and working.
After various injuries, surgeries, and no exercise. I lost 13kgs, ate half the amount. Now I sit at 80kgs, in rehab eating around 2500 calories a day and probably 19% BF at 51yrs old. Such is life.

FK the Keto diet. Well for that matter ANY -Diet-. I know with certain people who do Bulking periods will gain some fat as well and then do a short diet to trim that off but usually it-s only Calorie control and Paying attention to Macronutrients. I think it-s dumb to Diet and eat all this shit you don-t like, hit your goal and then back to eating unhealthy. Makes no sense.

Great video, but if you have an office job or are not super active, you are not going to get ripped like this guy eating a diet like this. Just not gonna happen. Eating almost 3000 calories a day while sitting at your desk at work, even if u lift or exercise for an hour, isn't going to get you looking like this unless your metabolism is ridiculously high.
