What excercises/muscles will help actually getting the dumbbells into the overhead press position. I can press roughly 40 ea arm, but I have a tough time getting those 40s into position.
Should I just reduce back down until my overeall arm/shoulder strength catches up to the press weight? Or is there something specific I can do to either build that strength, or a technique I'm doing wrong to get them up there.
I was trying something similar to an Urlacher, si ce that's a similar motion, but in neutral grip the whole time.

I've trained with dumbbells for only 15 years. WHen I walk into a gym im like what is this fancy machinem toss me those bells. The other guys always have a hard time believing my mass from only using bumbbells. Yes it takes me almots twice askong to work out as others, though I kept it simple, and it works and it will never fail. Its also safe, Im in control of the weight, it does not control me. No 400lb bar falling on me lol

Chewing is killing your gains. Actually, putting food in your mouth is killing your gains, because of the internal rotation you get from your arm, which contributes to KILLING YOUR GAINS. Heres the solution
Do Facepulls with a neutral grip, for external rotation, now, attach your food plate or the food itself to the rope, and thats how YOU GAIN.

Thanks you so much as I cannot afford a personal trainer and I have much weights and exercise equipment to utilize better the these techniques. I wish you outstanding success sir!

One thing that's very important with heavy weight shoulder work is to be very careful with progression- you can mess up your shoulders really quick with too heavy weights, way quicker than some other muscle groups, and the fact is a lot of times those injuries become chronic and lead to surgery after surgery. Be real careful

So much of musculature outcome is genetic. I can do the same workouts with the same effort and weights and not look much like Jeff. However, the important thing above all is to workout to improve our health and we still will have an improved physique. So, Jesse is doing AWESOME for Jesse's genetics.
