My Dad Went Vegan For 6 Months & THIS Happened!

VivoLife for vegan supplements & protein (BRIAN10) nil. : This is really inspiring. My father is just 47 years old and in fall he will be turning 48. I love my dad but his health really suffers from his poor eating choices. He loves meat and especially processed meats such as sausages and so on. It doesn't do him any good. He isn't severly over-weight and I think he needs lots of food because he is working 8 to 10 hours a day and I really appreciate him going to work and doing his best. His work has him walking around and standing almost all the time. But the doctor's say that he needs to change his habits else his heart will suffer. On top of that he is a smoker. I wish I could get him to reduce his meat intake to maybe once or twice a week and I would love to see him eat non-processed meats if he really wants to. More than anything I want him to be vegetarian if possible and just give up on all these meats entirely. But I think I cannot make him unless he decides for himself. Does anyone know what I could do? He is still very young and I don't want to lose him just now. As a loving daughter you would do anything to save your parents.

Vegan = depriving your body of essential nutrients. Drinking juices may look healthy (same as eating honey, but the hidden sugars will make you even fatter. Eating bread/macaronies/rice is nearly the same as eating sugar (being that obese is probably having a hormonal disorder/high blood sugar and the risk of type I diabetes. Eating highly processed foods is always dumb. Try switching your father to less or zero carbs / keto / intermittent fasting with longer fasting window (eg. eating 2 times a day at 10 and 16, checking nutrients and calories intake) and the difference will be visible in less time.

I don't get the juicing. Why is that superior to eating the vegetables, and getting the benefit of the fiber? With all the sugars in the beets, the sugar in the those beats, that's a pretty sharp sugar shock for the liver. The fiber helps to slow it down.
How was your dad's resting insulin? I ask because he seems to eat a rather high carb diet. Carbs spike insulin. Spiked insulin retards fat mobilization, that is, weight loss.

That's Amazing! So happy for your dad, for you, and for the amazing relationship you two have! God Bless, and although you are in amazing physical shape, the best thing you have is that great mindset, family values, and central mental core, which I'm certain your father is greatly to thank for.

I used to be vegan. Was content with it. Fell off the wagon. Fast forward to being married with kids. My husband literally doesn't eat anything unless it has a mother. No joke. You can't hide the veggies from him. No way to get him to eat them. I think he has a mental block or something.

He has the right attitude. Its a lifelong process, not something you must accomplish in X amount of time. You didn't get fat or out of shape overnight, you can't expect to totally correct it in a few months.

I went vegan a year ago for about two months. After gaining weight I cried and started keto carnivore and lost the weight. Will not die vegan way of life ever again. Sad because I love all veggies.

when I seen the red hat. I thought it as maga. make sure not to wear green colored hat. google it very funny from Chinese point of view. also ur dad will be much healthier in the long run.

if he only cut out the fat and extra protein from eating and carbed up, would lose a lot more fat and feel even better!
Big respect anyway to make the change, which many can not do!
