Ive been mixing every one of these exercises into my training. Face pulls are my favorite and I do them at the end of any workout to make up for my muscle imbalance and now my delts are beauties. Narcissistic but truthful My favorite shoulder exercises are incline barbell(work up to heavy then light for reps, standing barbell shoulder press(heavy 5x6, and light DB lateral raises (high reps of slow and controlled 1. 5 reps(up slow down half way slow, back to the top, and then back down(thats 1 rep)

Random question that has nothing to do with this video subject sorry guys but I need help. Currently doing an upper lower split, meaning on my upper day in training chest, back & delts, is it a good idea to try aim for progressive overload on every muscle group at the same time or focus on 1 for 3-4 weeks while maintaining the others then once Ive reached max volume (mrv) then deload & begin to progressive overload the other muscles

I have very large rear delts and back. I was gifted with 475 lb deadlift but 245 bench. Ive never done a face pull nor reverse fly or reverse pec deck. Its all come from heavy bent over rows. Mostly to belly button or just below with slight cheating every other week or so to go a bit heavier. For me this works wonders. For others maybe not. I have no problem building my back and rear delts but front delts and chest is another story.

Im following your new upper lower program Jeff. Just wanna ask you a question I know you have a lot of set rep schemes your supposed to use for example 3 sets of 8 pause incline dB press. Rpe 8. What if my reps start to fall off? Do you recommend not going to far off like nothing less than 5 reps. Because realistically reps are going to fall off. I just want to know what I should do in that situation? Does anybody know?

Just the exercise I was interested in. Unfortunately thee is no reverse pec deck at PF. I'm pretty sure behind the neck press hits the rear deltoid although I know that exercise has come under criticism. Anyway, with a 76 arm span those exercises become exponentially more stressful on all the arm joints. One more thing, mind/muscle connection. Exactly what is that anyway?

Love always wearing a bandana and tearing your tanks lol when you are showing what not to do. And Jeff I got your hypertrophy and fundamental after I'm confident I'll be purchasing your new body split program. I would love to see if you will do some update on lean muscle meals how to eat and how much calory deficit we need to consume. And ppoleegraphy is my Instagram

Rear delt contact can be optimized by pinky controlactivation when doing bent over flyes. Correct form would be doing each rep from relaxed state with extended/loose pinky to tight pinky when at maximum contraction. Doing the reps end to end will build up tention in the larger more powerfull upperback, ruining most of the contact with rear delts.

if you're gonna do the dumbbell face pull with thumbs pointing back then why perform the rope face pull palms down? Why don't you just do the rope face pull with the same grip as for dumbbells? That extra rotation of the humerus clears space in the shoulder. Or you don't want it to look too much like Jeff Cavalier's face pull?

At about 1: 45 he tells us that neutral grip is better; does anyone know why? I'm assuming, since it's Nippy, that this is based on some evidence, but I'd like to see what it is. I've always done it the other way and I'd like to see if there is a real benefit to doing it neutral before I switch.
