The Science of MILK (Is It Really Good For You) Acne, Cancer, Bodyfat. Will Taylor: pffft this was a lazy effort. Milk is bad for your health no doubt about it. Problem with those studies you cited - they don't factor in notion of 'sick population' and how that completely skews the results in favour of milk. The Western Diet is soooooo atrocious that large population studies where diet is concerned can be very misleading. The results are always relative and what cohort are they testing their milk does not increase all cause mortality thesis against? The average Yank is so unhealthy that yes the consumption of milk may not increase their mortality risk (dare I say it may even improve it. What does this mean? Nothing. Look at the worldwide rates of prostate and breast cancer. They are exactly in line with world's biggest dairy consumers. Look at the link between IGF1 and its strong relationship to increased cancer risk (all forms. Dairy (well all animal proteins) spikes IGF1 like nothing else. In my view - this video is just gym-bro dipshittery dressed up as credible discussion. Oh and let's not forget that 70-80% of Estrogen exposure for the average American comes from. you guessed it dairy. Pull your head out of your arse and do some real (and credible) research.

Even if we assume that the milk we drink is free of antibiotics and hormones, whole milk has too much fat and cholesterol to be considered safe to drink by anyone with a family history of cardiovascular disease (heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, etc. While milk is an excellent source of phosphorous, which in a limited amount (700 mg to 1, 400 mg per day) is necessary for good health, it can be a problem if we consume too much of it. With an overabundance of phosphorous in our diet, we run the risk of our bodies producing too much fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23, which regulates the amount of phosphorous in our blood. Too much FGF23 in the blood has the capacity to damage the epithelial lining of our arteries, which may lead to atherosclerosis and heart disease. Thus, it might be prudent if we were to drink a limited amount of non-fat milk (free of antibiotics and hormones, lets say no more than three servings per day, and consume in moderation food rich in phosphorous, such as meat and legumes.

Hi, I really enjoy the videos you put out. They are well made and you make some really strong arguments. Thank you for that. However, I disagree with the choice of initial arguments you presented. I would argue that milk is a high-fat beverage. Even in low fat milk, the majority of calories come from fat. It also has a unfavorable saturated to unsaturated fat ratio. High fat foods with high saturated fatty acid content are associated with all kinds of diseases, obesity being the one I would point to. You also leave out the ecological studies that show associations of dairy consumption with all kinds of diseases (probably have the same confounding variables that the studies you cited have) Lastly, There is also an ethical and environmental debate on this issue that you completely neglect. Just because we can eat dairy even if it is not as unhealthy as I believe it to be, we still should not exploit and murder millions of animals. Anyways, keep up the great work man

reason I choose cow milk over subtitutes, its cheap af and it works. Some people think they are lactose intolerant because they drink milk and eat meat at the same time, your body actually can not digest both at the same efficiently so your body will normally try to send all the milk out of your in the form of diarrhea. If you have one, dont have the other the same day and you should be fine. For those who actually do have lactose intolerance, your dna never evolved to deal with the milk so your body cant effectively digest it. So it will give you diarrhea, thats your bodys way of protecting itself. Cow milk is not bad for you, unless you get the milk that comes from cows loaded with growth hormones or other harmful additives. Cow milk itself is just proteins, vitamins, minerals and water and fats, basically the stuff that builds a body. Makes sense right? Thats what milk is for, for building bodies.

Yo I dont give a shit if you wanna give people terrible health advice that contradicts mountains of peer reviewed studies and meta-analyses. You should consider the fact that female cows are constantly impregnated and have their baby cows stripped from them shortly after birth though. The process so so stressful on these animals that their life expectancy is cut down 5x. Their male children are fed straight into the veal industry. There are alternatives that wont adversely impact your gains. Grow up and realize that the milk youre drinking was never the industrys to sell, never yours to buy.

Back in 2015 I got acne from taking to many vitamins and eating more plant based a but still ate cheese from there my journey started I went vegan to try to get rid of my acne this vegans swear milk makes things worst or some say dairy products are the problem, almost a year vegan and my acne only was getting worst I would cry it was painful I couldnt wear make up. When I added animal products my face cleared up. I am sensitive to high histamine foods so I cant do eggs and old cheeses but dont have a problem with milk.

Humans are the only species that drinks another species' milk - A)Most mammals can only lactate after they've produced offspring so that leaves a very short window in which another species could potentially drink that milk, during which time there's a lot competition from the animal's offspring. B) Most animals are skittish of one another and so an animal would be unlikely to allow to another unrelated animal to drink it's milk. plus there's no benefit to the milk producing animal

Any milk or dairy that comes from your side of the world is bad mate. Big factory farms with cows on grain and in a factory is not going to produce anything healthy. A cow from New Zealand say grazes on grass 85% of the year and they stay outside all year, grass fed dairy is good grain fed dairy is crap. Better look at these studies you read too and who these scientists work for or are funded by to do this research. 90% of the time the dairy industry are funding these studies

I don't understand why everyone makes such a fuss about this especially in the comments there are so many experts making just any claim they feel like. Do they even know what cancer is? I doubt that they have a clue Research cancer first Then comment on food that causes cancer. From personal experience I can tell you that most institutions linked to cancer research don't want people to know because they make money off the treatment.
