Hey guys, just to combat the inevitable not-natty accusations, here's why I think Doug is most likely natural: 1) I don't get the intuition that he is lying (unlike many others like Mike O'Hearn) or is the type of person who would fabricate a career around a lie. 2) He has never failed a drug test or a polygraph. 3) There doesn't seem to be a plausible motive for him to lie in the first place. Any financial motivation seems irrational given that natural bodybuilding has a much smaller reach than untested venues. Any motivation set toward preserving his reputation would make sense if he were simply silent or indirect about his drug use (like most IFBB pros) but I can't see how in his eyes actively promoting his natural status might benefit his reputation. 4) Compared to several other top natural guys who I believe are natural for reasons 1-3 (ex. Donovon Strong, Martin Daniels, Adrian Grey, Zachary Rouch, David Kaye, etc) he doesn't actually stand out all that much.

Hey Jeff, great video IListening to Dougs training approach gave me an impression that his approach to training seem to contradict a lot to what the recent research concludes and advises. As a natural bodybuilding at an advanced level I believe he should be taking his training much more thoroughly in terms of periodisation. I do realise there is a lot of auto regulation in Dougs training for adherence purposes, BUT If you look at people like Alberto Nunez, Eric Helms, their training protocol and listen to them talk about it - they just seem so knowledgable who train very intelligently unlike Doug whose approach balls to the walls, high intensity, high rep, switching things up every week training just seem so odd. I don't know it's just gave me an impression that Doug doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. That might be another argument as to why he might be enhanced. What u think?

Hey Jeff, I was always curious and in the video Doug did talk about it a bit, he likes to mess with herbs that increase natural testosterone while in contest prep only (i'm assuming) I have seen other natural BBers who compete in the IFPA/OCB that have also taken a testosterone booster (not a strong one. wouldn't this cause them to pop positive for a drug test before stepping on stage? or is it only when the person's test is greater than a specific ratio? if that's the case why don't you and other natty BBers take herbs to increase natural test when it lowers during contest prep, as Doug mentioned in the video how it might not really increase muscle mass, but it may increase mood/energy levels which would help in the gym. Just curious on your opinion on this. Really enjoyed this video man.

Funny to say he does heavy weights for high reps and high volume. Heavy weight for most people but relatively speaking clearly this is not possible. Even if he was in fact lifting to failure really heavy weight for sets of 20 on most things to failure that would prove the weight is not really heavy because he could of had more weight and done a set of 10 for example. It works for him but its clearly lifting moderate weight for high volume. I would also bet he does not control the weights and his time under tension is not high despite the high reps. so for example when I do a set of 12 on legs it probably takes me just as long to do the set as his set of 20.

Part of me really does not think Doug can be natural. But, then I think about the genetic freaks like Ronnie Coleman who got to a stage weight almost a 100 pounds heavier than Doug competes at. Is it not possible that there are genetic freaks out there comparable to Ronnie Coleman, and others, who did not take the enhanced route? What do you think Ronnie Coleman would have looked like had he trained his whole life naturally to be the best natural bodybuilder? Probably similar to Doug Miller, if not bigger, actually.

Thank you so much for this Jeff, really great stuff. I especially love the completely two different approaches, both very successful, between Menno and Doug. Just goes to show that there are many ways to do things. It also causes the hope of an optimal training and nutrition plan to be that much farther away lol. Thanks again, really enjoy these.

If he is natural which I don't think is impossible, he has to come to terms with having a genetic potential which is probably amongst 1 in a million. It's not his consistency, nor his determination that is the cause of his success.

all natural lmao. people are so naive it's unreal. there is no bodybuilding without steroids, period. human body is not capable of creating this type of muscle mass without exogenous hormones.
