My 8 Month Natural Body Transformation Powerlifting vs Bodybuilding RaiN MWhop: When it comes to body building, I follow workout routines by BodyBuilding. com. If a workout says lets say 4 sets 10-15 reps should I be using the same weight for each set? Or should I increase the weight each time? I usually increase, but the routine i follow now goes through a process where each week ur suppose to increase weight and decrease sets anyways. Also, going back to 4 sets and 10-15 reps, do u go to failure each set whether thats below or above 10-15? Or do u lower or higher ur weight accordingly to get to 10-15?

That 3rd point you made is utterly moot. Just because you are training for physique now doesn't mean that goals related to weight should be ditched. You just set yourself other goals. Like getting your overhead press to 80 kgs for 10 reps or weighted chin ups with 40kg for 10 reps or Squatting 180kg for 20 reps ect. you get the picture. Anyone who does this will have better strength and physique than anyone training purely for improvement on just 3 lifts.

Personally I don't really care how good my body Looks, for me the feeling of hitting a PR isn't matched. I'm nearly 18 now and have been traing for about a year and recently just hit a 200kg deadlift, it may not be lots of weight but it's been a long term goal of mine and to finally achieve it was the best feeling ever Also great vid Matt but can't lie it's going to be sad that we will never see you at another powerlifting meet: ( I used to love those videos

This video came just in time, cause I've a nagging question that all the answers I found didn't satisfy me. the question is, how to program bodybuilding program/plan for continuous progress? powerlifting unlike bodybuilding, have RPE, RM. etc of measurement tools and concepts that help you measure your strength and powerlifting progress, but bodybuilding, doesn't have that specifics. so how can it be programmed? .

My background is literally a couple of shabby pillows stacked on top of each other on a not so white leather couch. You on the other hand have a fine selection of plants, books, pictures, high heels, candles and suitcases in a beautifully arranged stack of wooden crates. Give everyone else a chance ye PicassoDoesFitness.

Matt, enjoying the videos. With a lot of bull talked online about fitness and nutrition, and so many experts online these days, its good to hear your honestly on your journey and the realities of your loss of strength but improvement in look. Your bench press and squat numbers are still insane thou.
