The best part of the original ride was at the start, when the gates opened to the Jurassic Park theme song and the first thing you see is the Brontosauras rise up from the river. That part brought me chills as a kid. It reminded me of the scene from the movie. That feeling is totally lost in this new ride. It's soulless. And also, add some gosh darn shrubbery or something at the T-rex's feet so it doesn't look like it's floating. I understand they have it coming out earlier so it seems like it's saving you from the other dinosaur, but it just looks so dumb floating there. They could have just totally removed Predator cove and added more peaceful dinos. Cough Brontosauras cough. That entire section is so bland and completely fails at building any kind of tension. Just give us more dinosThis ride totally crapped all over my childhood. Not worth the 3 hour wait.

With exceptions to the finale, am I the only one that feels like the rest of the ride is kind of underwhelming? There isn't much to look at anymore. Just a bunch of static scenes with nothing going on but background narration. I feel like more should have been done in the middle when things start going wrong. They got rid of some fun set pieces like the falling truck, the dino chewing up the boat, attacking raptors and dilophosaurus' and didn't replace them with anything other than some TV's telling you things are bad. Still looks fun, but seems like they spent all the budget in the finale and spared themselves maintenance costs in the beginning and middle.

Thank you for such great, clear footage I'm kinda sorry to see that the boat no longer gets bumped off course. To me, it added a lot to the feeling of being part of everything going wrong; now, it seems more like the narrative is oh, well, you were suppose to come see all our dangerous dinos, but, uh, we suck at keeping them in proper pens, so. have fun guessing which one will be the one to eat you. Updated effects look pretty great, and I love the Gremlins-like raptor that drops down after pulling apart all the wiring

When was the last time Universal actually spent decent money on a ride? When this opened in the 90s it was a state-of-the-art, immersive experience Now it just feels like they scrapped all the stuff they didn't feel like maintaining, replaced the empty space with flat screen TVs, and called it a night. Aren't they doing really well financially? Why does it look like this update was a cost-cutting measure if there's more money coming into the company than ever before? Ugh.

Why, just WHY, did they remove the splashdown finale? The splash after the climactic drop is as integral to the ride as the T-rex (in my opinion) and adds another layer of fun. WHY is there no splash here? Surely, they must have predicted the potential issues when designing the new raptor encounter so close to the drop? After seeing videos of this ride during testing with the water cannons on full effect, I am really disappointed in all honesty

Does anyone else think that the climax would be better if there wasnt a T Rex floating in the sky like there is no gravity? Why not make a structure that it looks like its standing on, like it runs up a hill that you cant see it and then all of a sudden it makes its way over there? Or put another T Rex on the opposite side to fight with the Indominus Rex? Then the last one comes out over the hill. The end just seems very. anti climatic.

Looks awesome at night, too I have a suggestion: When the boat climbs up the ramp to T-rex Kingdom, do you think the addition of a pachycephalosaurus, the head-butting dinosaur, would be suitable towards the left side of where the former velociraptor used to be? My idea is to have it ram through the barred walls as the boat escalates while Owen warns guests through the TV monitors.

Wouldve been better if they didnt change the first scene (the when dinosaurs ruled the earth was nice though) it would be cheaper, then after the predasaur jumps, chaos begins the Mosasaurus 3D screens are near the raptor cage with broken glass, when you go up the lifthill blue is shown, once up Indominus and Trex fight with blue and a countdown starts just like before to add pressure

Wish they would have changed the ride up more. It's exactly the same as the Jurassic park ride in Orlando with just one added sequence at the beginning. It makes much more sense to theme this ride more to the Jurassic World movie with the Indominus Rex and pterodactyls being the main enemies. I also still prefer the concept of placing the riders in the Gyrosphere vehicles.

I think they really missed the mark with this refurbishment. It's sparse, cheesy and underwhelming. The raptor coming down through the ceiling always made me laugh because it is sooooo slow. And they didn't update that? Instead of fixing issues, all they did was take out the animatronics in predator cove and add evenly spaced scratch marks.
