Gosh, watching them the acters are wayyyyy less aggressive. They rely on what you are seeing than some acter screaming in your face. lol No shade to our Universal's here in the states though who do a great job every Halloween with the houses. Dam each house was a piece of art. They did some unique things in their houses that I have never seen.

China is one of hardest places to do Halloween. By law there no company can do anything connected to ghosts or creatures connected to the dead. It’s some kind of law that prevents spiritual things. It’s why they have to rely on more physical or scientific creations. So no graveyards, no ghosts, no dead, just physical monsters.

Is there some liability clause in China that makes companies afraid of causing heart attacks or something Noticed the scare actors are quite afraid of, well, scaring.
I love how fluid and graceful they are instead, though. Very gradual in their movements. Also quite quiet for the most part.

These all seem really beautifully themed. I feel like a lot of the scare actors were kind of phoning it in, but that might be a cultural thing; not being as aggressive or in your face as US actors.
I'd love to see Orlando do something like House of Hau Pi, the sets were incredible.

Huh. I actually didn't know they had this in the Beijing resort. I will say that it doesn't sound as overstimulating as the mazes here in the states.
I also like how they add their own spin on HHN with House NO. 81, which is based on an actual reportedly haunted house in Beijing

That Phantom of the Opera scene would make Andrew Lloyd Webber proud AF! (It's interesting too to see how much they changed the song so they dont get sued by Andrew lol)
So impressive: very good use of space and the actress playing Christine resets perfectly.

ok these haunted houses really are WOW they are so beautiful, I loved all of them and I think they are so much better than the haunted houses that were in the american parks this year

Nice walkthroughs - not overly manic and in my face. Amazing decorations and theming. I would pay up to see this. Not overly crowded either.

Theres something being lost in the cultural translation here. this is awful. its like ballet. too performative and not scary enough.
reply

this was excellent, much better than the stuff they have in America. Chilling and scary, but also kind of beautiful and elegant.

Kudos to the scare actors, some of whom are doing very challenging actions- especially the guy in the freakin bathtub! Lungs of steel!

Id fall asleep walking through there looks pretty boring tbh. No dig on the content it just looks rather boring compared to others.

They add a kind of elegance to their haunt attractions I can't explain it but it's like as scary as it is, it's beautiful too
