The Blue Ridge Parkway travels through both North Carolina and Virginia on its 469 mile journey. it connects Shenandoah national park to Great smokies national park and is one of the most relaxing road trips you can do in the united states. I drove the route with my dad over 4 days and we compiled some of our favorite stops to share with you in this video. The entire road trip video will be posted next week

We lived in the Shenandoah Valley for 17 years right at the foot of the blueridge. Sherando lake is a good stop and is just after humpback rock about 2 miles off the parkway. Glad you included peaks of otter and the james river bridge as these were favorites of my wife and mines. Unfortunately we never got to dine at the restaurant before we left for AZ as it was closed due to the pandemic. There are 2 stops in va I recommend. One is a small water fall with old train tracks. Very short hike to put you right at its base and the second is thunder ridge pull off which offers amazing veiws of the valley.

Fantastic video yet again! Living in NC, I have had the good fortune of visiting almost all of these places and I could not agree more! for those into movies, I also love the fact that many of these sites have been used in some very famous movies over the years, for example dirty dancing, last of the Mohicans (One of my all-time favorites, Hunger games. Also worth mentioning are the amazing mountain towns or villages just off the parkway such as Hendersonville, Asheville, Brevard, Boone so many more. thanks again for the awesome video.

I always enjoy your adventures, and the camaraderie between you and your dad. Thank you for sharing.
The cinematic talents are excellent, and the editing skills are impressive. I enjoy the voiceovers - you and your dad have clear narration voices.
If it is not exposing any trade secrets, in one of your videos, please share some of the technical information, such as your video and sound equipment, as well as the editing and titling software used.
Kind regards from the Valley of the Sun Phoenix, AZ USA

Nice video. I prefer to hear the water at the falls and cascades but I understand you are just showing people these places to visit. We've been to many of these places but I would love to go back there again! My wife got sick when we were driving along the Parkway but we stopped at a local motel and it wasn't long before she was feeling better and we continued our trip. We also loved seeing all the Christmas Trees that are grown in the area off some of the back roads!

Ahhhh, you were in my stomping grounds - I live not too far from Peaks of Otter / I have hiked Sharp Top and Flat Top so many times. Never disappoints. Glad you highlighted many of my favorites from Humpback Rocks down to Peaks of Otter - the AT straddles the BRP south of Peaks of Otter and to me some of the best miles on the trail. Crabtree Falls is also great in the winter when if freezes over - We say some Ice Climbers on it one year near the top

So cool to hear Pops on the narration! I bet he is a captivating professor. Super excited to see some of your mid Atlantic travels as that's closer to my neck of the woods (though I can't wait to make it out west and use your videos for inspiration while planning those trips as well. Thanks, Josh!

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia and I love being able to see the absolute beautiful scenery. I live by the only tunnel in Virginia. Hes so right about all the amazing activities and the things to do along the Parkway. We have been to many of these beautiful areas places.

Something cool we use to do when I was in college was walk inside the Linville Viaduct bridge. It use to be accessible from either end of the bridge. The Bridge is not actually attached to the mountain, it is just floating on pads. There is space to crawl up inside the bridge.

How fun! And your dad narrations too! Id love to know where you got on and off? I planned a trip on the parkway last year and never realized that there were no bathrooms (at least for the portion I was on) and. I didnt see any of these except the lodge where I entered.

Can't decide my favorite part of this video; there's so much beauty and serenity! Pops did a great job on the parts he narrated! All the hiking keeps him young! He's an inspiration (I think we're about the same age): )
