Shure sounds and looks like a huge sales pitch. It's not a friendly place unless you are loaded. Mostly condos and rental high rises that will be converted to condos parking has been replaced with a sidewalk for the old people who own the condos to walk around their domain. Beach yes but they would rather you don't come unless you own a condo or rent a highrise apt. Can't tell you how many years it took them to pry that prime river walk, away from it's original designation as public rec area to high rise apts. Get the picture Sounds like he likes to buy a condo too! PS. I lived there for 50 years.

Living in western Broward county, I have been to the areas you described. Las Olas 42 years ago was much more charming, with small boutiques, etc. It is now a concrete jungle, so different than it was years ago, and the restaurants that were there, including sidewalk cafes, have been replaced by overpriced bistros. I have a tiny Pom named Bella, and she goes everywhere with me just like your little Bella. She is so well behaved, that I can take her with me, just like your Bella is so well behaved. We are blessed to have such good dogs.

Thank you I’m going there during my birthday weekend in November. Although it is a vacation, I will keeping a keen eye out for places I may potentially like to live. I’ll be driving up to West Palm beach for one day as well.
Looking to move to Florida but still deciding on WHERE. lol it is a bit overwhelming to decide because each place I’ve been to so far has been so beautiful but so different than each other. This will be my first time in Fort Lauderdale! Appreciate the video to get me prepared with some expectations

Since this video my city has blown up. It's sad what they did to the strip in the early 90s making A1A one way. It used to be great lining our crotch rockets along the beach and seeing all the people driving N and S partying the things this city used to do. Now everyone goes to Miami. As long as they don't come here from Miami we're a happy city. We all wish the northerners would stay north, because we get the losers. Not a better place on the planet to live IMO.

Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, left in 1975 sure isn't the same like it wad in the 60s and 70s. and the waterways have changed so much and downtown nice guiet down town with Burndines dept store and Chris craft boats on the river. The good old days are gone, still have great memories of what it use to be. Great video

Thanks for the video. I’m trying to find new things to do there. My family and I love this place. We just came back 3months ago and are flying back there for March break in 2 days. Canada is beautiful but the winter kind of ruins spring break for the kids lol.

My first trip to Ft. L was in 2021 for my pre-birthday. I absolutely love the area. I loved it so much I'm willing to relocate there from Vegas.

Would love more information about the areas and less advertising plugs. It feels like every two seconds its another boat tour or restaurant being promoted. I respect the hustle but I found it really distracting.

I mean i was shocked about the coastline near fort lauderdale because of all the private ports. (There are 100 of them when you count all of them near fort lauderdale and deeper)

I’m from the south suburbs of Chicago. We were just in Fort Lauderdale from January 6-15. It was absolutely beautiful and so much to do there. The food was amazing.

Fantastic video! Lived in Fort Lauderdale 47 years, starting with Easter break in 1965. Watched the town grow. Moved to South America to retire in 2012.
