Visit Europe as citizens, and not as tourists. In this way you can enjoy more your trip, going in the culture and the lifestyle better that tourists usually do. Anyway, everywhere there are tourist-traps, sometime for expensive restaurants, sometimes for overrated landmarks, so it is important plan your journey getting as much as info possible before you start. Especially pay attention for the negative comments about cities and landmarks, and then you can ask to to yourself: why, how, what are looking from your journey, in order to save money, energy and time. Last suggestion: if for you it is possible, try to plan by your self your trip, your booking, without the help from tour operators, maybe it is more stressful, but in the end you have less risk to became a classic tourist of bite and run with all the cons of the case. I agree with all the points in the video!

Man I'm sorry but I get so disappointed from this video, it was like if I have made a video about, don't come to New York because the advertisement panel in the buildings are just advertisement buildings -. -. If you think that 80 it's too expensive to see the insides of the most unique city in the world, copied in all over the world ( in us too and more expensive) the center of the world with the Asia. Well maybe you should think it twice if the travel is your stuff. The ruggamuffin's travels are really ruining the world's tourism, I'm sorry dude to say that, you're such a nice guy but you cannot get through a travel like that. You just waste money.

funny thing saying overrated torre di pisa and venice a cultural heritage! madame tussauds is definetely unique but worthless! a typical tourist will find things boring or not worth it especially if comes from a country with no cultural backround! when travelling try to visit a few things after you've read history! you'll appriciat it a lot more

Pisa is wonderful. Your tour should include Piazza dei Cavalieri, Lungarni (roads along the river) and the beautiful Borgo stretto street. Moreover, are you aware that the Leaning tower and the buildings around are made of the most pregiate marble of the world? Furthermore, you can see Galileo Galilei's birthplace in Pisa.

My fam visited the Riviera years ago when I was little. I've always loved travel but even back then I thought it was rubbish. How could anyone call it a beach when there was no sand but instead all rocks. Compared to the lovely Caribbean beaches I was familiar with, it seemed so pointless.

I find many of these places much the same now.
Over priced, not as exciting as you expected, sometimes a bit seedy or dodgy.
These places look different but they aren't so different.
Much better to get off the beaten track for a real feel of a country.

I live in London and every time I walk past Madame Tussauds I can't believe how big the queues are.
You're in one of the best cities in the world with 2000 years of history and you're paying loads to see a crappy wax model of Kim Kardashian?
Why?

I think he is an idiot. Some people get to travel to Europe once in their life. And it is not his place to tell people Some things are overrated because he does not like them or has seen them 30 times. Let people see for themselves what they do and don't like.

From my research (admittedly not experience, I would say that while many things are more expensive in Europe than in the US, a lot of things tourists are likely to spend money on like hotels & flights are way more expensive in the US.

As an American, my favorite country is still Japan. Its safer and cleaner than Europe. It has everything Europe does, terrific food, history and culture, plus futuristic technology. And the people arent class A snobs unlike Europe.
