we head out to Disney Springs to meet up with some friends for dinner at The Boathouse and do a little perusing around the Springs and take a ride on the Train with Jackson! We also add in some clips from the Celebration Car Show where we went to the After Hours Party but weren't able to film there

Catching up on videos. With Jackson and trying to get him more comfortable with other children his age and playing and interacting there are programs, not daycare, that you can bring him to. I know that he isnt going to daycare but there are activities, I think theres like a tumbling class and of course other classes/activities that are meant for children his age to attend. I think they meet once or twice a week. The parent goes with them and is there the whole time. I think its like an hour or two. It allows children of the same age to get together in a constructive activity and learn how to be around others their age.
There are parents who do not like daycare and I can understand that point of view. For me, both of my children had to go to daycare because my husband and I both worked outside the home. I think its fantastic if youre able to have your children with you at home and not have to worry about daycare. I would say one advantage with children in daycare is that they do have to learn how to interact with others. They have to learn how to share and what they can do and what they cant do, boundaries. It definitely is harder for a child who is at home all day with adults and not around any other children to fully understand boundaries and sharing. For an only child at home they basically get what they want when they want it. We are all that way with our first one.
A little class thats once or twice a week that you can go with him for an hour so gets to introduce him to a new experience. I do realize right now with the pandemic that you have to be a little bit more careful. Everybody is getting their vaccines right now. Things should be getting back to normal here pretty shortly. Of course the most important thing is to make sure that everybody, especially your little one, is safe and healthy.

I was thinking about how y'all said this is the first time that Jackson has played with someone his age. It's been a different time for socializing kids normally you would have been at like library story times and friends birthday parties and all kinds of other things. It doesn't sound like anything he was doing was out of the spectrum of normal kid behavior but just don't be too hard on yourselves and kids learn quickly like you were saying!

Jen and Tim, please try not to sweat it over Jackson and social manners at this time. It is not easy to raise a toddler and especially during these days. We are having to stay apart and trying to stay safe, so he doesn't have a lot of experience with other children his age. He will be just fine with time.

Tim that Bricklin came out in 1974-1975 and in only 5 colors. The cars weren't painted. Rather, one of five bright colors was impregnated into their fiberglass body panels: Safety White, Safety Green, Safety Red, Safety Suntan, and Safety Orange (seen in your video.

Jackson hasn't been around other kids. Ever.
He will learn from mom and dad what the boundaries of social interaction require of him. All children learn this. He won't be a brat because mom and dad care about others. Jax will learn to care for others. He will.

Jacksons behaviors are totally normal. He will learn and understand more as he grows how he can interact differently with you guys (ie climbing over) vs kids. He will learn that quickly on his own just by experience. I wouldnt worry.

It's so weird to hear you guys talk about Wawa since you don't live in the Philly area. Wawa has an almost cult following around here. We take out Wawa very seriously.

The Bricklin was made in the Mid 70s in Saint John New Brunswick (our home province) that model was the SV-1 which stood for Safety Vehicle One. It was a flop

That oar would be perfect with the little sentence my parents choose to put on my birthcards
All captains were once sailors
