Awesome video. I was at the, airport in Iceland on June 17, and a security guard found out my last name was Danish. I got a glare, and I told him we were the cool, not conquering other countries part of Denmark and happy becoming an independent republic day. He let us through faster after he knew we had learned a little history before. Luckily the day before, a good Icelandic buddy had told me about the history. Otherwise, I may have still been at security.

Just got back. Scenery is absolutely amazing, feels like you've been transported to a different planet sometimes. The only two things that are difficult is the ridiculous prices for everything (at the very least, stay in a place were you can cook your own food) and tourists that can't drive safely on Iceland's roads. Beautiful place.

One of the things I couldnt get used to in my week in Iceland was the rotten egg smell of the geothermal water. Very expensive country too. With that said, I would visit Iceland every year if I could afford it, as Marc says the people were the nicest Ive ever met, the food was fantastic, and the landscape is breathtaking.

nr. 1 tip for tourists about driving in iceland. from a native: DONT STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO TAKE PICTURES. a lot of tourists have done this and had to pay the consequences of that act with their lives via car accidents alongside the natives that have collided

Without doubt the most amazing trip of my life! There's so many places in the world I want to visit that I rarely visit the same place twice, but Iceland I would visit again and again. It's magical.

It's like living in a large refrigerator most time of the year. There's not a single tree? It's like an alien planet somewhere in Alpha Centauri.

where did you go to learn about the puffins? And although the spas are wonderful, it will kill your hair. When they say condition, they mean it!

The only two things I didn't like was the weather and the very high prices. I can't drive manual cars, so I have to ask my dad to drive instead
