You know, I could be polite and give a long round before say what I want to say.
But eithed you are experienced or not, the mountain should be respected and kind of feared. There are to many climbers who doesn't even care of the risks and doing this how you did it and filming it and post it will certainly give the idea that is really that easy.
Like this you have to spend as a country thousand of just because a bunch of idiots decide to get wild without even wonder about taking a guide or taking in cosideration the real risks.
Mountain is not a kinder garden!

Been in that area a few times but neter tried to climb the Matterhorn. Is on the to do list, that's for sure. Telling by the video seems like you all used strap on crampons with trainers (or approach shoes at most. didn't you feel the need of sturdier footwear for more support when edging and scrambling on that rock? For slab climbing approach shoes (with propper climbing zone area in the sole) are GREAT but. for edging and kicking steps in the snow. not so much! Great video!

Every personal account of climbing the Matterhorn I've read says the Solvay hut smells like a giant pile of poop. Why? Do people just shit on the floor and leave? I'm also surprised at their choice to do the climb without roping and anchoring. Seems arbitrary and foolish. One slip and it's all over, when rope offers assurance a slip won't result in falling 4000 feet.

I've been watching your videos for awhile, but the Matterhorn video took it to another level. Not that it's a competition, but I love to see the U. S. represented so well in the Alps. Although I have to admit, I kept waiting for you to tie in or rope up on some part of the climb. The fact that you didn't was amazing and probably not fair to us mere mortals.

Ozix!
This was insane. Summer of 2022 i have started taking alpine climbing courses with experianced guides. And in my experiance climbing up the mountain isnt really the issue, but going down is the hard part. Every step u take on a mountain needs to be precise, that is why I personally like watching you guys. Keep it up!

you made very good time. always best and more enjoyable to travel light but did you not bring a rope with you at all. how did you manage the slabs after the hut. they are pritty steep and no fixed ropes. doable going up but sketchy coming down i would think.

Well done guys, fantastic. Been to Zermatt a few times, but when you see it in person, it's even MORE scary, so no way! This is probably the best filmed and edited version I've ever seen of the climb, thanks for all your hard work!

hopefully this video will drop out of popular uploads as it encourages absolutely reckless behaviour. I do believe in Darwin's theory of natural selection but do we really need to actively promote it? Great visuals though!

Are you all wearing any neoprene insulation over your trail runners? It appears you are when at the upper portion of the mountain but its hard for me to tell. If you are, what brand are you using so I can look into them? Thanks!

Amazing images. I felt a little dizzy and stressed just watching you near and on the summit. Terrifying really. The descent looks like no bargain either. I'm probably gonna have scary dreams of falling tonight.

Well done guys, you appeared to be well acclimatized. Had you done several high climbs just before the Matterhorn?
Looked like really light hiking boots you had on as well. or fancy running shoes?

Such dangerous nonsense! You give the impression that such mountains are a Sunday stroll.
Anyone who pulls himself up a mountain on fixed ropes cannot be outdone in terms of embarrassment.

Every Swiss mountaineer: Starts this tour at 02: 00 in the morning. These guys casually showing up at what looks like 08: 00 makes me question what I've been taught. What an achievement!

Great to enjoy the journey with you guys, thanks for sharing. My insane fear of heights would prevent me from experiencing the joy you guys enjoyed

You guys feel pretty high end, the way you just cruised up without being roped up. Enjoy! (I'm a tandem paragliding pilot here in Zermatt)
