in my opinion its one of the most unappropriate things in the world to randomly tell someone when he is allowed to cross the street, or where to park your car, or where to throw your garbage.
it wont happen that often, and the bigger the city the less it will happen, but it sure can be.
and even if youre a tourist you should not accept that behaviour.
germans sometimes dont realize that you dont have the right to tell someone what to think, how to act and how to feel.
its like an urgent need they have to tell you what they think of you and that they dont like it at all haha.

It's funny that you mention the thing about certificates and titles, because the absence of both was what shocked me when I moved to the UK. Now, I quote the fact that you don't require certificates for every little thing as a huge plus of the work culture here. Anyone can pretty much do anything here as long as they feel confident enough (having an academic degree of some description - looking at you, English lit - is helpful, though)

Walt, another great presentation. The best of Deutschland sind kleiner dorfen at the most distant end of the longest U-Bahn line. Get to the 'Vaterland' the cheapest way, US$400 RT, in off season, after arranging for a B&B in a private home of retireds whose kids have 'flown the coup'. 'Been there, Done that! www. vidocq. pro

A word from a German Autobahn lover to who watches. 140 KMH is not fast - that is just about 86 mph - please move over. Even if there is a speed limit of 120 kmh. some still drive 150 kmh on the left lane - move over. So what is fast? 200 kmh+ is fast but there's always that beamer or audi going 250 kmh+, move over

it's not only that you hould drive in the right lane on the autobahn, it is actually a law called the Rechtsfahrgebot it states that you have to drive as far on right of a street as you can. so if u want to pass someone on the autobahn for example you hav to do so on the left.

you really must caught some reeeeeealy rude germans. usually they know how to queue. and if youre not next in line, they even point it out and make you step back. its just not very nice to cut line. especially at the store or backery!

Yeah tell me about German line culture. On honeymoon a German woman pushed in front of my wife at breakfast. All I shall say is that I asked her a question referring to their shamed past. She scowled at me but all the Brits laughed.

Yes, Germans do not have line culture! My wife who is German and I were at a 1FCN game and people kept trying to come in from the side in the food line. Trust me no Germans got in front of me for food that day!

I used to live in little town in germany and they kicked me out of comunity just because I was cutting grass and washing car at wrong day of the week. Sick people
reply

People not letting others exit on public transport before entering or just ignoring the line that forms on both side of the doors are the worst.
