I went on a bus tour in Italy in 2014. Everything was taken care of with the tour company which helped a lot. To avoid pickpockets I had a fanny pack type belt which I wore under my top and kept hidden under my clothes. All I had in it was my credit/debit cards, a little bit of cash and my passport. I had a camera as well which I kept it on a strap across my body and held it in front of me or hid under my jacket. The forum is a definite MUST- SEE. Unfortunately, the Trevi Fountain was under construction and very crowded when I was there and so that was disappointing.

Just like almost any European city, Rome developed millennia if not just centuries ago when people could only think of walking and riding quadrupeds for transportation; therefore, many buildings are crowded up together on each side of narrow streets throughout the city. The idea of a motor vehicle had no imminence in days when Rome had just become a city or had finished its (meaning Romes) development.
However, the majority of American cities grew at a time sooooo close to when cars were thought of!

Thank you for sharing such helpful tips. I truly appreciate it. I LOVE Rome, Italy and will definitely be visiting hopefully in the very near future. Fascinated with Rome since 14 years old. The architecture/arts are AMAZING. I would like to know if there are any Vegan restaurants. Any other tips will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to any other videos that you would like to share about this BEAUTIFUL ancient/historical city. Again, THANK YOU. May God continue to BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY! God bless!

Love your videos very well explained tks. Question for you, I'm heading go Rome alone alone for my first time in the coming march. Will I be safe bringing along a long lens camera or will a mobile phone do as good, just worried about the pickpockets been everywhere. If you don't want too mention it in a video then maybe in a private text to me.
Keep safe

Is it possible to book a day trip to Venice once we get to Rome? If so, where do we do that? If not, do you have a suggestion as to how to what site to pre-book it online? We have 3 1/2 days total. I'm thinking 2 1/2 days in Rome and one to use as a day trip. If you don't think Venice is a good idea, do you have a suggestion?

Just home from a week in Rome with my daughter. Wed a great time but I was disappointed at how filthy the place is, esp around Termini, but its really throughout the city. Hint, if you can ride a bike we had the best two days in Rome on a Vespa, a fantastic way to see the city.

We will be there in April this year. flying in to FCO. We are doing a tour for 8 days, but wil have 5 days before the tour and 5 days after. How do we know where to stay to be within walking distance to the main area of Rome? Thank you!

An extra tip from a Roman guy to all the young brits/Americans coming here in holiday: don't worry to get drunk and have some fights with the locals at the night! We're more than happy to welcome you bare fists as we did in the past

Hi I will go to Rome next month for 10 days. I want to rent a bicycle and see all over Rome by bicycle. Is it no problem or better not to ride bicycle in Rome? Let me know if there is any reason better not to ride bicycle?

If you need to eat early and want to avoid tourist traps, look for places near offices. We had one of our best meals in one that advertised a happy hour in Italian.
