on certain occasions, peeps were permitted to swim in the Roman Baths, right up until the 1980's when someone had the idea that perhaps lead-lined waters might not be the best place in which to immerse your bod. Glad you enjoyed the city - yes parking is a nightmare but there are three park-and-ride buss stations on the edge of the city where you can park your car, and double-decker busses will buss you into the city centre. As for Stone Henge. meh. it's been messed with and feels redundant these days; not far away is Avebury, said to be the heart chakra of the world, and Britain's largest stone circle. Plus you can actually 'touch' the stones. Stone Henge is heavily guarded by gestapo-like forces who will escort you - and your entire party, off-site if you even think about raising a pinky in their direction. To think my Mum and Dad once parked on the edge of the road and my fam would settle in the centre of the stones and eat our egg sandwiches. It feels alive still in Avebury, gentle yet powerful with great walking, and is where you'll find the best crop circles (before the crops are harvested at the end of summer. Where 'er you go, I hope you have a fabulous visit!

Ah, the city I grew up in (I live in London now. I miss Bath loads. I think it's probably the most beautiful city in the UK. A lot of UK places have some lovely areas, but Bath is consistently beautiful for almost all of it.
One thing you didn't mention is that Bath is very hilly. If you're driving, make sure you're good at those hill-starts (some of those streets are 3: 1.
A very nice (and free) place to go in Bath is Alexandra Park at Beechen Cliff. It has amazing views all over the city.

Wolters World. Thank you for your video. It's really nice and very informative. You are a nice guy. So, I have planned to study a Post Graduate in Bath Spa University in September. But due to circumstances, I have face many difficulties because of COVID-19 and Brexit. However, I never give up, and I am very passionate about my studies and target devoted. You have helped me a lot about what to expect from a such beautiful City. I look forward to be there. Many thanks!

Shopping in Towns/Cities in the U. K. tend to, as you said, shut around 5. 30-6pm but - and this is having a detrimental effect on town centres, there are big out of town shopping centres or retail parks which tend to stay open much later to 8pm and on some days even 10pm very similar to US Malls.

Btw near the Theatre Royal (Bath City Centre) is one of two Schwartz Burger takeaways - amazing veggie burgers with all types of dressings. Oh and meat ones too for you carnivorous folk.

My Grandfather was born and raised in Bath before coming over to Canada in a boat in 1922 at the age of 17 all by himself. It really great to see the City/Town where he grew up! Thanks!

I appreciate your information but it would be great if you stopped saying really cool and and stuff like that. I start to find it distracting from the valued information.
