Awesome video and great tips. I'm all about booking the flight/accommodation/sightseeing places in advance. Skipping the line is amazing.
I have heard that if you have a VPN you could set your VPN to the country's airline you want to go on (e. g. Italy to go on Alitalia) and sure you may have to struggle with the site being in a foreign language, but you may get a better price. I saw this when looking at trains from Prague to Munich.
The only point I disagree with is staying outside the city. I did that in London and it cost more to go with public transit because of the zones we had to cross. One would have to choose whether they want to spend more time and money on transit vs. saving a few dollars on the accommodation.

Seriously. pre-book everything! Pre-booking all the major sites in Rome last year saved me a huge amount of hassle. Also, and this is something people don't think about often, it keeps your wallet full of those all important bills so you aren't having to hit up ATMs (foreign transaction fees) like crazy because you blew your Euros getting into the Colosseum or Borghese Gallery (which requires reservations and is always full, therefore pre-booking is a necessity.

Just got back from Chania, Crete and I already miss it. My best advice for finding the best price is to look online and find the place you want to stay then pick up your phone and call them. In Greece cash is king. Offer cash payment on arrival when you make your reservations. Do Not Be Afraid To Ask The Cash Price! You will get a nice discount.

Great info! Thanks I've already booked a condo for a trip, staying In the U. S. for Oct 2020. I'm waiting for flight tickets to go on sale because of. I picked that specific time since I wont go to my destination while its spring break. The weather will still be good anyway. Wish I was going to Greece/ Europe. Maybe one day in the future!

All great advice. We are about to take an August vacation. Booked the flights in February. Just for fun, before booking, checked the flight price to return two days later - it dropped by 20%, so that's what we booked; the flight savings more than pay for our extra two days of hotels!

Thanks for all the tips. They are really helpful. I do have a Question for the Wolters or fellow Wolter fans? Traveling to Germany in October. More specifically starting in Berlin and ending up in Munich. Anyone know what the weather is like early to mid October? Terrified of over packing.

What are the cons of going to Europe in the off-season, like Sept or April? I have MS and cannot tolerate heat AT ALL. Im not big on sunbathing, Id rather hike or bicycle, so sunshine and balmy breezes arent crucial. Thoughts, world-travelers?

Hi Mark. Great video. I need your opinion. We are going for a cruise in October 2020. What is better done 1st. Cruising ( northern Europe) or Land tour ( in paris and rome. Thank you so much we appreciate it!

If you want to go to Oktoberfest, you can stay in Augsburg. It is also a nice, old city and only a 30 Minute trainride from Munich. Nuremberg and Salzburg are very far from Munich.

Hi Mark. Is your preference for Europe travel (London, Normandy, Prague, Athens) spring (April/May) or fall (October) and why? BTW I love your enthusiasm!
