Cheers for all these great tips, Wolter: ) I agree, the airport lounge can be more relaxing a respite, especially if unwell or on long-haul flights.
2 years ago, I'd succumbed to food poisoning amidst yoga teacher training in Bangalore. Upon reaching the airport, I was in shambles. Staff soothed to no end, with medicines and a warm seat within the lounge at no charge.
Buffet was a dream, and I slept like a baby in business class by sublime grace of God.
It turned a setback positive and I'm so thankful for the experience. To discover the world a little wiser; stronger and healthier this time.
Peace and love. Xx

Hi, just stumbled upon your videos with helpful travel tips. Do you know if Athens airport has lounges, place to sleep/shower? We have more than 8 hours layover for international flight. We arrive in Athens at 10pm and our next flight is 7am. We have young children and it would be very tough not to get any sleep. Any advice you have for us would be very appreciated. Thank you

We always use the Virgin Holidays V-Room at Gatwick. It was better when it was in the South Terminal when there was an excellent view of the runway, now not so good in the North Terminal due to restricted views, but the food and comfort is well worth the cost, and quiet rest rooms are so much better than the noisy ones in the general airport.

Thanks for your advice. I will have a 9 hour transit in Doha onward to Vienna. Pays to buy an access for some food, drinks, charging devices, and a refreshing hot shower, as well as a bit of shut eyes. Thats money well spent, a lot cheaper than their transit hotel, which is crazily expensive. (QAD200 vs. QAD1129 )

I've only been in an airport lounge once and it was Amazing! But I had no idea that you could pay for the lounge. I always assumed it was strictly for business class and first class passengers. So, I am really grateful for this information and I'll be looking into this topic when I fly from now on. Thanks!

Im 56 and never knew you could pay to use a lounge. Are these lounges dedicated to each major carrier? In other words does British Air have a separate lounge AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC than Quantis? Im just using top of my head airline names, but I hope you get the point. Thanks much!

Really enjoy these videos! BTW, checked out your recommended gear via the Amazon links and the portable power strip & battery backup charger are no longer available. I know you get a little money on the referrals, so wanted you to know! Thanks for these reviews!

All of those are excellent reasons. With some airlines reward credit cards you get so many passes to the lounges. For United think it's only 2 passes a year. Haven't ever used mine yet, but may in case of long delays

We were offered the lounge pass when we arrived in France but it was our destination so we didn't use it. I was curious as to what was in there. Thanks for the video, now I know.
