Some people are just stuck in a 35-year old time-loop they cant escape if theyre still caught up in the war between the Sandinistas and the Contras of the early 80s. Come on already. The leader of the Sandanistas, Daniel Ortega has been president of Nicaragua for a very long time and knows what capitalism can do to progress and help his country. I lived in both Leon where the revolution began and then Granada. Peaceful and memorable with no problems.

2nd gen Nicaraguan. I think youve convinced me to possibly take my family to the Homeland. My dad fled due to the conflicts during the 70s. He was handed a pistol by my grandfather and told to flee. Still gonna take his advice and not name-drop our family name if I go.

I'm thinking of leaving Costa Rica for Nicaragua, ( I've been there many times ) I want to know about the virus precautions, whether you can be a perpetual tourist as I did here for years. I plan on heading for Esteli area.

I am an American who left the USA and retired to Nicaragua at the age of 50 in 2014. I absolutely love Nicaragua and I don't have plans to ever leave.
Great informative video for those planning to visit Nicaragua.

One extra comment, if you are south of San Juan Del Sur, in between the city & the border, you can drink the water its the Blue zone. Some of the cleanest water on the planet & some of the longest living populations

Thank you for showing all these beautiful places of Nicaragua. Keep up the great work. Next time you go to Nicaragua, you should definitely go to the mountains side. There's also a lot of beautiful places as well.

I'm thoroughly impressed! I recall seeing a previous video of yours and there was a lot more hesitation in your description of food, safety, etc. I enjoyed the video a great deal, really informative. thanks!

How strict are they on the you informal/you formal conjugation? if it's a stranger and not a close friend/relative, it's como esta, not estas, I know that from high school Spanish.
