Climbing to the Highest Hot Spring in Japan mecha: thanks to Robby for the little things like setting up the camera so we can see him and Darrell climbing up the mountain etc. it's those little things that make watching this (and other adventures) so enjoyable really. I can only assume those shots of Rob and Darrell are accomplished with the camera on a timer of some sorts or simply just being on (duh to me. (then of course after that Rob has to go grab the camera which like I said those -little- things are much appreciated. The editing and the accompanying music must be quite the task. Well done! Unfortunately (although I had no problem signing up for what may happen) while on what's called a -West-Pac- in 1990 in the Navy we were supposed to go to Japan (and Australia ) we were told while out at sea by the Captain. -Were going to war gentlemen- so therefore instead of Japan and Australia (and Bangkok) we went with the USS INDEPENDENCE battle group into the Straits of Hormuz and did our duty as we were a Guided Missile Cruiser. Got to go to Oahu, Hawaii twice, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines twice, Vancouver B. C which was absolutely gorgeous. Nope, instead in a war zone and got to visit Oman, Saudi Arabia but always wanted to see Japan and of course Australia too but duty called and that's that. So thanks for all the great videos of Japan! that camera of yours produces a gorgeous 4k video! I watched a many of your vlogs of home and one 1 of them you took the time to explain your camera lenses etc.

I know ultra light is good. But it sucks hard being directly on the ground. I'm not prissy or anything. I don't mind getting my hand dirty. But when it comes down to anything in my ears, mouth, eyes, nose. I have to be hygenic as possible or I get pretty sick. Small comfort like ultra light tables are hard to find. Best bet is to geat a flat grill and use that to put stuff onto.

Arigato gozaimasu for this beautiful video of your hike at Mt Tengu. Through your lens, I get to -hike- & -view- the beauty of this place.
Agreed with you that your video cannot capture the true beauty of it.
Do make a trip to Takayama. It's a very beautiful place. There's a snow resort there, too. Their Hida beef is renowned & so is their sake.

Would love to see some more shots where there isn't any music and it's just the sounds of the scene like in the Cape Soya video; the sounds of the snow crunching, or the wind hitting the camera. I feel like it adds a ton of ambiance and makes it feel like you're there in the moment. Keep up the awesome work!

every time I see both of you in the shot either going away from the camera or going towards it, it always makes me smile for some reason. cause all I can picture is just you running back for the camera or running ahead and then running back again! I could never! love the dedication -

Thanks for your video. -
I am planning to do this hike in March, next year. -
For my research, up until now, there is no bus to the Green Pond bus stop during winter (from December to March, so i would like to ask for some insights on that subject.

In earlier parts it was harder to see Robby and Darrell's friendship, but here you can really see where their personalities connect (which is great, because at a glance I'd guess you're both very different people, but love that you're here together)

I've never hiked in Japan but looks like the lodge is nice and cozy. Especially about the fact that they are serving Udon, coffee and other food in the middle of mountain! you don't have to bring bunch of peanuts butter sandwiches. Love your video!
