Croatia is full of incredible sights, natural wonders, and historic towns. Here we cover tourist information that all travelers and tourists should know about visiting Split, Croatia. The UNESCO World Heritage sight of Diocletian's Palace, the proximity to the Krka Water Falls, and the beaches give travelers so many opportunities to enjoy the area on your Croatian vacation

To be honest, the palace was a somewhat depressing experience. What they've built into the Palace walls from what I saw were almost entirely garbage tourist, knick knack shops, and awful American food tourist trap restaurants. The people working in the tourist area turned us away closing some of the sites over a half hour earlier than advertised, and to be honest I wish I would have stopped on Hvar and Trogir instead of the palace. Krka was astounding though! Next time I visit I will visit the country by boat/sailboat/yacht as driving the entire coast was underwhelming in the spring.

I enjoy your travel videos, especially now that we can't travel. Crostia is on my bucket list, Split & Dubrovnik.
My family is Italian American and we make, what we call, spinach pies, like the spinach wrapped in dough that y mentioned. It is so good.
May u & your family be safe.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Enjoyed our visit. After doing the 'touristy' stuff we enjoyed grabbing a cheap slice of pizza and just sitting around the waterfront watching ships and people. The little farmer's market nearby was also fun to walk through.

If you are ever in split i recommended taking a trip to trogir, up near the airport. It's worth seeing. Same with the roman ruins in solin. Been there twice. Was there in the 90s when I was in the army and last year for a holiday. Can't wait to go back

how funny, just booked a 7 day trip to Split in September, you were the first one on YouTube to look for recommendations, as always, and just seen that you literally posted a video about Split. Love your do and don'ts. Thank you for your great work

Split and Dubrovnik were my favorites in Croatia when we visited a couple of years ago. We had a fantastic guide that really brought the history of the area to life. Would love to go back some day. Thank you for this!

I use to fly seaplanes from the port of Split! Loved living in Croatia! I always recommend going to Croatia and Split to anyone that asks. Dont forget to check out Kliss and Trogir if you are in the area.

Just curious if youve been to Rovinj, Croatia. My neighbor moved there and I was wondering what it is like. She grew up there, but remembered it the way it was before she emigrated to the US in the 50s.

I went to go see an Iron Maiden concert at Split in 2016, the best time of my life seeing that beautiful city and seeing my favorite band for the first time, the fans there are crazy.

What was the name for the two pieces of pizza smashed together dish?
As travelling is currently off the table, hopefully some cooking will somewhat scratch that itch
