Mark once again great video! Just one thing: pls remind our foreign visitors that they need to drive on the right side of the line and not block the traffic when we want to pass them by and that they must not be afraid that they will be frowned upon if they are not driving on the center of the lane. It's so frustrating when having to withhold the urge to curse the visitor, which we are rly happy and honored that chose to come in Crete, that is driving in front of you with less speed than even the legal one, forcing you to risk your life by putting the car completely to the other side of the road to pass by him. It's the only complaint we Cretans have from tourists. Apart from that we dont mind anything else.

Hard press to find anyone who doesn't love Chania after their first visit. We certainly do. Spent a week there this past March and never needed a car as we didn't leave the old town area (well did walk around to the newer part of town, past the 'zoo' area in search of recommended coffee place. Fantastic hotel (Le Maison Ottomane) and great food choices. No beach for us, but sure has plenty to see and do to occupy a week's stay. Oh, the orange juice is fantastic.

Great video aside the one thing that stood out to me strangely was the aberdeen altens hotel pen on the table - no idea how I noticed it but that hotel is right next to cove bay in Aberdeen where my grandparents used to live. Strange how a pen triggered great memories but there you have it. Crete, as do most of the Greek islands, looks amazing and hope you also enjoyed Aberdeen when you was there too!

Love it, been there many times. Normally I try to find a restaurant away form the harbor. The view at the water front cost a lot. And that applies for all the Greek islands I have been. Probably everywhere in the world. As fare as I remember dont bring a car to the town. It is impossible to find a place to park.

Seeing this was so awesome! I stumbled across Chania on my travels and fell in love with it! So many hidden restaurants and cool places around the historic part of town. Also was there in off season so some things weren't open but the crowds were pretty well non existent.

Both Chania and Heraklion have gorgeous cathedrals, picturesque old towns, numerous restaurants, and lots of places to shop. They also have lots of people, traffic, construction, and other drawbacks that come with large cities. Each is worth at least a half-day visit

I love this City so much and the great kindness of the Cretans. It's a joy every time. I look forward to being able to return. We usually stay on Akrotiri and rent a car. We divide our time between the beach and excursions. Our first stay in Crete dates back to 1990.

It's really sad that in the US, you obviously are totally oblivious to the environment: Taking planes wherever possible, renting cars instead of hopping on public buses etc. Never heard of climate change, right! Shockingly ignorant!
